Since they couldn't "rechrome them" (because they are anodized, not polished), I have 'em 'black chromed.' The Gettysburg folks liked them, so I'm getting a little braver at showing them off.

Looks good. Do you have any close up pics?
Who did the work?

Looks great from what I can see in the pictures, but it would be great to have a closer look at them

I seem to remember a lot of chatter about low-dust brake pads:P;)

I can't tell, what color did you have your center caps and lug nuts in? Looks great.

Here are a few extra bonus answers:
The car is lowered a half-turn removed from the original factory front springs, courtesy of Kenny Brown.
I went through the Northern Virginia franchise of Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists (http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/), who quoted me $900 to fix all the curb rash, bead blast them, straighten and balance them, powder coat them and ship all four wheels both ways. The local guy picked them up (after I had the tires removed) and in 14 days I had them back.
Last summer, I ran into a guy with an automotive detailing shop that spoke highly about SharkHide (http://www.sharkhide.com/) as a protectant against brake dust and so forth, so I had that done independently for $200 (for all four wheels). Snake Hide was also on a recent episode of Two Guys Garage, as their website shows.
Then, after four new tires ('Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Wide Oval' (http://www.firestonetire.com/productdetails/Home/Firehawk%E2%84%A2_Wide_Oval%E2 %84%A2_Indy_500%C2%AE_%282010% 29)), they are back on the car! The center caps, lug nuts and (new) steel stems are all chrome from the original.
If we get a nice sunny day and I get home in time, I'll take a couple of close up photos. As they say - 'watch this space.'
Of course, if you want to avoid the need for doing all this in the first place, a good rule of thumb is "don't let someone who is going to become your ex-wife drive your car that she hates." Just sayin'.

The MM wheels are the one thing I will probably never change. They are just perfect to me outside of maybe adding some width.
WTS I am glad you like yours.

Here you go.
That's the color I tried first back in 2003 before eventually going black powdercoat. I actually had one wheel done and hated it.
The guys at the refinishers called it "Jeep Grey"....:puke:
Looks great on my Subie....and oddly...they call it "Gun Metal".:P

I knew black chrome would look good on our stock wheels.
