Headed South

I'm headed down to Florida on April 9th, do I leave the snows and steelies on or do I switch to the all seasons? Have to pick up the mother-in-law but I get a couple of days on Lake Topo.

Take off the snows.... unless it will be snowing in Fla, then leave them on.

I do understand your worry though, if your summer tires are anything like my nitto 420's it's a no-brainer shut it down time.

If worse comes to worse and you hit a snowstorm south of buffalo on your return you can just spend a couple of days in a motel with your mother-in-inlaw. :eek:

I've seen studded tires down this way. I guess the vacationers were wondering if H e l l was going to freeze over. :D

BTW, where in Florida are you heading to? I could not find Lake Topo on a map.

Also you should get better gas mileage with all season tires .Let us know hwere in Florida you plan on going maybe a few of the members here can meet up with ya if you like. Have a great trip either way !

Near Kissimmee. That's what the guide called the lake, the real name is much longer and I have no idea of how to spell it.

I guess those studded tires are like the snow skis we see in summer.

That is still about 200 miles North of me and the guys at the Tower Shops. Enjoy your stay.
