Cross Country trip next week, what services to do?

Car has 103,400 on the odo. About a thousand miles ago I had an oil/filter change in both the engine and trans. I was reading the owner's manual and it says do x services at 105,000. Should I do those or wait until the trip is over? Can anyone think of anything else that should be done before I head out?

Can anyone think of anything else that should be done before I head out? Figure out that weird transmission shifting thing you posted about in the other thread. Beyond that...I would just drive it.

So, nobody has any other pearls of wisdom? Not even, "change your plugs so you might get better mileage" or "make sure all fluids are topped off and enjoy the ride"?

Enjoy the ride. I would change the oil before I go, and just a general visual check up in the car. If you take care of it, the drive should be fine.

Now what would I carry in the car? Spare water, jacket, flares and basic tools with a tire DIY patch kit.
