I'm getting a kill switch done right now. But I will like to know if the key as a chip in it then why do I need a kill switch. The reason I'm doing this is I seen there are some of yous hot this.

The key is chipped the car is PATS'd. A 45 in the face stops most thefts.

Unless someone has the exact key for your car, you're wasting your money having a switch made...

Yes. There was a member several years ago that had their MM stolen because the thieves broke into the house and found the spare set of keys.

There is ways around the PATS system but a thief does not have the time and the cost of the equipment just wouldn't be worth it.
