Whats with the .45? Nice times. Whats the deal with race gas - what did you run - for sale at track? What did you pay?

Congrats on a great run that's a new personal best yes??

Yes it is new personal best, .43 is the reaction time, yeah I know I'm on point at the light.
I bought 5 gallons at $9 each at the Track. Thanks.

The car was shifting at 6k rpms. The car has a tenth or so left in it if I shift at 6500 rpms on the dynosheet it picks up 30rwhp from 6k to 6500 rpms.

Youre being safe arent ya! Nothin wrong with that Thats pretty much the same way my 300a is tuned now my SB on the other hand it should be safe tune till 65-6600. Personally cant justify a tenth more considering the risk that will come with it. Great job though Landy. Is youre race tune set to shift at the same?

Yup they were both shifting at 6k rpms. The car is setup perfect and its got a hell of a driver mod.

BTW I went home with $500 too from a grudge match against some kids turbo 240sx, the best he could do all night was 12.2 @ 114mph. He tought that since he pulls me by a car from 60 to 130mph he would be all over me in the 1320 too. FAIL.

hell i took my car to 7k. on my street tires I have the car setup for a 6500rpm shift, since I only did three passes I didnt have time to mess with it. At 7k shift I would worry about the trans pump disintegrating.

Congrats Landy on a new personal best. Now my question is: Did you run with an empty trunk or did you still have stuff in it?

When you get to 11.49 a roll bar is next. One of the tracks I run at has already told me all I get is one pass and don't come back until I have a roll bar. It is s good problem to have.

Empty trunk, 1/2 tank, headlight out on the same old slicks John sold me at 20psi
The only thing I didn't do was take the front swaybar out.
Like I said before the car has another tenth in it on the right day if I raise the shift points another 500rpms and take the sway bar out.

It is s good problem to have. no rollbar for me, this summer I will do the BLV and switch to blow thru and if it works out I will be in the low 11's on stock motor. I know some will say its not gonna happen but it will. And all under 500rwhp. Stay tuned.

Sounds like you were ready for Bear. I know John and how he tears up some tires, maybe a new set of slicks might put your 60' down in the 1.6 range to give you that extra tenth or two without workin the engine any harder....Just a thought.

Yup, I'm gonna ditch the 28" tall slicks and try some 26" tall et streets to se how they do. It should be all done by fall, I'm done racing till then.
