You planning on relocating your residence to Virginia? Out-of-State tuition rates are about 150% more than the In-State rate.
Which schools are you checking out? My oldest son graduated from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Lexington, VA. My daughter graduated from Longwood University (was Longwood College) in Farmville, VA.

We were at Univ of Richmond today, which has the same tuition rates for in and out of state, and the College of William and Mary tomorrow.

FYI .... William and Mary has proposed increasing their costs for 2011-2012 as follows:
In-State Undergraduates:
Tuition & Fees $13,132
Room & Board $8,892
Total $22,024
Out-of-State Total $35,962 (63% more than In-State rates)
Non-Virginia Rate is $44,854 (103% higher than In-State rates); but I have no idea of what constitutes Out-of-State vs. Non-Virginia rates.
