I'm in need of new pads nd rotors, mine are grinding, I was browsing ford parts online and in the pad section I have 2 choices ford police or genuine ford (which I think are OEM) plus the Genuine are twice the money. which ones would be better to get?

I just did a total brake job, and the pads i used are Wagner Thermo Quiet which turned out to be ceramic. Good so far, smooth, no low speed grinding noise.

I use Axxis Metal Master pads on my car. Wife's car gets OEM pads, they last longer than any aftermarket pads, even the Motorcraft severe service ones.

Severe duty pads last several turns, Rock Auto has severe duty front pads on closeout for ten dollars and change.
My last complete Brake job F & R went $330.00 for the Raybest0s R-300 .
The R-300 front rotors weight 25 pounds each,
No offense to guys that picked el cheapo Ebay junk, but I'm not .
If Anybody wants to check them out behind the wheel, just ask.

Cause I've been there, The biggest issue I've had is bringing these tubs down from 100+ MPH trap speeds.
I warped every set of front rotors that I tried .
2 sets of Baer, two sets of Motorcraft , one set Duralast, plus the ones that came on the marauder new.
I was hoping the extra weight and mass of the Raybestos R-300's would handle the task. Raybestos
I guess we'll soon see. FTW:banana2:
