What is a Marauder?

A Marauder with a Cobra Long Block?

A CAR with a Marauder VIN#?

A Car with a Marauder Short Block?

If an African American gets a Caucasian heart for a heart transplant, is he now a Caucasian??? I believe the shell is what counts because that is what everyone really sees. If a Marauder gets a new engine, roll cage, transmission, rear end, etc. It's still a Marauder in body.

Well, then it also means any stroker, 5.4L, etc. is NOT a Marauder. It's either stock, or it's not. It has to be a clear line, not a grey area. STOCK or NOT STOCK.
So, Caucasian is your answer...

Our definitions have gone from Marauder Shell to Stock Marauder. I am not complaining I am just trying to determine what "Marauder Only" means on the Time Slip page

Well here's my two cents on what makes a Marauder a Marauder: What did you mean to buy when you bought the car? If you meant to buy a Marauder and bought one, far out, you have a Marauder, who cares what's under the hood. If you mean to buy a Marauder and got a '73 Pinto, then no, you do not have a Marauder, no matter what parts you put on the Pinto.

Maybe there could be an "other" catagory? I don't have a dog in the fight, but if I did and my Marauder got bumped out of a slot on the front page by say, a Gremlin, I might be upset. (Upset enough to go faster:burnout:)

If it has a Marauder VIN, its a Marauder....... Just look at Barrett Jackson sometime. See all the cars rolling accross with motors from other Marquee's. They still call them the name on the hood.....

People spend money on their interpertation of a "Marauder", and if they are happy with it, that should be the end of it. All this thumbing of the nose stuff has gotta go.......

As far as the time sheet page goes, just list the differences (some folks say Trilogy. Eaton, Centri or whatever..... Some might say "Chebby":o.

As "the car thing" evolves, I am guessing we are gonna see alot more of interswapping of parts engines ect. We may as well get used to it now.

Not meaning to get in anyones face on this, just don't want to see people all in a twist with each other, worrying about Marauder stature:lol:.

NO! This is the point!!! Then you need a seperate list for N2O, SC, Turbo, Meth, Ported Short Runner Intake... Or it wouldn't be STOCK. If it was BORN a Marauder and has the same shell, it's a Marauder.

Sunday was the first time I laid eyes on the car, and that's 100% the truth. I can speak for RacerX (Bill) as well. If I knew it was Bowtie powered, I would have CERTAINLY mentioned it. I had no idea what was under the hood. When I met Joe last year, he mentioned three things to me.....Procharged...1,000+hp, and custom suspension/transmission. I was shocked to see the engine, and when I asked about it, Joe said, "I thought I told you that last year."

No matter. Its a Marauder, it's badass, and it really is a piece of fine art. I suggest whomever has the oppurtunity to do so, to check it out.

Joe is a super nice fella. The guy should be retired on a beach. Instead, he puts together some serious cars. His low 11 high 10 purple MM has stock axles, control arms and rear except for the gears!!! :eek: His other black MM has a crazy Frankenstein setup on it. He's a true MM enthusiast.

It's a shame Zack aborted his TT Chevy 454 project in a MM. I would have LOVED to see that.

I really don't think the Timeslips page will change, that's just not realistic. I understand everyone has a slightly differing opinion. I would like to note that Joe is more than welcome to the Marauder community and has a wealth of knoweledge. Now honestly, wouldn't all you guys (and gals) like to see a "Marauder" blow the doors off a Chebby? Or take the win for a bracket?
