I just got off the phone with SPC about adjustable uppers. You can't use thier kits to make one because the upper ball joints they offer are GM tappered style while ours are not tappered. Also the frame tie points are too big for thier bushings. They claim they are working on a camber adjusting bolt with more throw for the lower but I see problems with that. First, I had to grind the slots in my k-member just to get the stock bolts to max out. Second, maxing out the camber on the lowers increases the castor since that is adjusted by the rear bushing. I believe the upper is the way to go. My plan is to buy pressed steel control arms, cut the bars off and replace them with adjutable turnbuckles and studs that SPC sells. Think I'll have about $120 a side by the time I'm done. I may also have to have a stiffening plate laser cut for the ball joint mount. Any other ideas. The alignment tech takes about 2 hours to get my car done and still can't get to carfixers specs. This is what prompted my rant in the first place.

This is turning out to be a lot harder than I thought. The geometry of the uppers doesn't lend itself to the 1" diameter turnbuckles you would need to use. You can't use a bolt in GM style ball joint because they have tapered shafts while the Ford shaft is straight with a tapered shoulder. I think I'll need to be a little more creative.
