k&n 9 1/2 length 4 width filter vs s&b jlt filter

My s&b filter on my jlt is kinda dirty and was wondering if this k&n filter with my jlt would provide more flow ?

IMHO.... the only way to get more flow is to have the end open.... the end opposite the MAF. So you would have airflow thru the cone and the end.

Gottcha Ima do a slight mod to the opening of the filter

With this done I believe it will flow much better ! Opinions welcome ???
