I would first of all like to wish all the members here a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year, I want to thank those members I have been able to help through out the last year, and I look forward to expanding and growing just like this site has, who would have thought we would be where we are today. I am constantly trying to improve this car, I sell nothing but proven products, for example I have dynode my Marauder with the new ported intake it has not made the power I suspected it would and that's why I am not selling it, untill further testing is done.

I will have the transmission up grade available in the next several weeks this will be offered in two levels, Level 1 will be a Jerry modified Separator plate with gaskets and instructions, along with a spiral lock clip and forced lube tail shaft, now there has been talk here about the benefit of this particular Modification, I am not here to argue with any one, I deal in facts and the fact is with 4:10 gears or higher you can burn out the rear tail shaft bushing, which can take out the entire transmission, Now this is also dependent on your driving habits. Jerry was a drive line specialist he has wrote many articles on the AOD/AODE/4R70W I have been building and selling his modifications on these transmissions for over four years. I will be posting a detailed description of this in the next few days, about the transmission in our cars.

Level 2 kit will be all the above with an entire complete rebuild kit, I will have all this done in two weeks. Jerry Wroblewski has been my friend for years, we have him to thank for a lot of what I have done for the Marauder, I have been selling his tuning for years now, he has expanded and now heads up and Runs SCT tuning, This is the best tuning there is, but that is for you the members to decide upon, a lot of you have bought our chips and then you have taken your car to one of the many dyno sessions we have had and you have found that the chip you got is very very close to being perfect not only in AF but RWHP. There have been those that have stated either directly or indirectly we tune on the edge this is as further from the truth as you can get.

We sell the best tuning there is period, it is the safest there is, ideally on an SC car you want around 12.0 AF especially with hypertectic pistons, we have seen other competitors tunes on the dyno in the high 13's this can be disastrous on a stock motor or even a built motor. Now lets go the other way, a rich AF can be just as bad, we have seen other companies tune these cars and have a 10.0 or lower AF this will wash all the oil out of the rings and causing, rapid cylinder damage.

We can do things no other companies can do. We can change cooling temperature fan turn on temperature we can adjust shift points on your transmission, some of these things can only be done with a four bank chip, that's why this is all we use, other companies use a one bank chip they cannot do all that we do, so they have to cut corners or change critical configurations to compensate for there inability to do what we can with a four bank chip.

For those of you that have N/A cars we set our tuning for the best AF and the octane you run on every chip we sell we have done thousands of dyno pulls we constantly look how to improve the tuning giving you the safest tune there is and at the same time giving you Maximum RWHP.

So again I am always here to help, if you have a tuning question please call me or any one of the helpful staff at SCT tuning,

Probably a stupid question:
What's AF?

AF = air/fuel
probably refers to the air/fuel ratio settings in the programming

Thanks Dennis,
I look forward to receiving the Trans Stage one Kit I ordered yesterday.
I know, not the "true Kit" but all the parts.

If you need install feedback I'll be happy to help.

OK, I understand air/fuel ratio, but what does a 10 or a 12 mean? How much air is that in relation to how much fuel? Is a higher number more air or more fuel?

Hey Ross!
I remember this from High School chemistry (Thanks Mrs. Blasko). A ratio is always described with the lager component listed first. The denominator in a ratio is always 1. An AF of 12 means 12 parts air to 1 part fuel.

The term is stoichiometric

Idealy for maximum fuel economy we want 14.5 to 14.7 to 1.
Now this is in closed loop when the 02's see the AF and correct for it, when the the car is at WOT = Wide open throttle, the car goes open loop then 02's are not used thats where tuning comes in, in a N/A car a 12.5 AF is ok in a blown car I like to see 11.5 to 12.0

Thank you very much Dennis, for all your hard work on our behalf. It is obvious you are a unique businessman, caring more for the customer's need than most. I'm proud to call you my friend.
