My 03 300a has a straight PCV valve on the passenger side valve cover, my 90* boot between the PCV and the plastic line is so degraded it sucks it shut with the engine running. My question is I've seen 90* PCV with a straight boot, does anyone have the part # for these? My FLM dealer isn't any help, thanks.

Now that my catch can is catching on I have run into this problem with another members MM.

When you guys get your car serviced go somewhere reputable or DIY.
The stock 90* is installed and removed with a heat gun, most people change the pcv valve and cant figure how to remove it so they throw it away and get the cheap Dorman 5/8" rubber 90* connectors.
1st the pcv system is 19/32" not 5/8"
2nd the rubber 90* will eventually crack and fail from heat exposure

My advise for swapping the pcv valve is to heat up the stock 90*, then remove it, clean it out, and reheat/reinstall on a new PVC valve Ford PN# MIEV257.

If it's truly clogged as bad as you say, then you will have bigger problems down the road.
The problems will stem from a poor maintenance schedule. I'm willing to bet you have oil in the DS CAI pipe
I would hate to see the inside of your cam covers and U&L intake

90 degree elbow
Dorman - Part No. 47047 :shake: He already has one of these installed, he's saying it has failed.

I hunted the junkyards for one but the CV and GM have a totally diffrent setup. Try pressuring the guy at the Ford counter to find it for you. They do not come installed on new Ford PCV valve for some reason

I cant see anything in the pic you posted Jim.

If it is like the stock plastic 90* then you have a great find, but if it's rubber like the OP and Bugsyc are referring to then it fails.
Fix the pic

I took my stock CIA off and the inside of the tube is mostly dry. I removed my throttle body to look insid the intake manifold and it isn't horrible but i will remove it and clean it out. I bought the car in November and haven't driven it much. I noticed this when I replaced my serpentine belt after I started the car up. I did go to my Ford dealer and told the guy I needed a PCV elbow and he gave me the right thing. Another guy at the same dealer told me I had to get the entire tube to the intake manifold. So I installed the plastic elbow and just used a piece of hose to connect it for now but will be ordering one of your catch cans and CIA soon so that doesn't bother me.
