Is anyone on here good at making cool lightweight plastic Marauder designs? I would love to see if I can get a nice design to adorn our wedding cake. I think the traditional bride and groom figure would be cool if I can somehow incorporate the Marauder into it (perhaps bride/groom sitting on top of the car... or standing next to it or something. Having the figures driving it would be cool, but that would require the top to be a convertible)
Thought I'd check in with the community here and see if anyone has any ideas or anything. Would love to see what you guys suggest.
Thanks

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!
I would assume you could always incorporate the diecast somehow into the cake topper. Or you can maybe ask the cake designer to make you guys & the Marauder AS the cake topper (out of fondant maybe) kinda like this

I'd be real interested to see if your wife to be lets you get away with this. if so, she's a keeper.
Maybe the bride & groom standing on a god head platform.

Interesting. Do you have "buy-in" on this idea yet?
I have only met your fiancée once and didn't really talk to her, so I don't know what kind of woman she is, but quite a few feel that the wedding is their day.
I did a quick Google search to see if anyone made any plastic models of the Marauder or Grand Marquis that you could build and put on the cake. The only ones I found were of police Crown Vics that would reqiure some work on the grille to look right.
Another option (more expensive) is to have a 3D scan of the car done and take the resultant point cloud model and have it scaled and printed on a stereo-lithography machine. The more common ones are like inkjet printers that use a liquid plastic instead of ink and have the ability to print layers on top of layers to get the 3D model.
BTW, you don't have to have the car on the cake to get it in the wedding. Mine got to play the role of "Limo."

Check out Charm City Cakes of Baltimore, MD where the Ace Of Cakes show was filmed at. They can do whatever you want. Maybe do the whole cake as a Marauder. lol Now that would be really cool.

At our wedding 26 years ago, I found a red mustang (what where they called--matchbox cars?) and put it on our wedding cake and surprised Mr. "fordfrk". He thought it was great!! It was the first brand new car he ever had--'83 mustang. Why NOT have a different cake topper than the usual people statues? Of course, if you can get the bride & groom statues IN the car--that would be cool, too.
Good luck with this, and Congratulations to you two!!!

My middle daughter is an Executive Pastry Chef, she could do it. She does custom cakes and all kind of good stuff to eat. If you want to talk to her PM me and I will give you here number. She knows MM's well, she wreaked mine.

I'd advise against this unless the bride to be is an avid enthusiast. As a general rule, never give anyone anything that can ever be used against you. It's her day, you're just there for photos.

My Marauder also played limo to a member and his wife who came to SA to get married. They had an edible picture of the SSM logo on their wedding cake if IIRC.

Thanks for the well wishes! Yes your picture above is what I kinda had in mind. I know in order to incorporate bride and groom I'd have to make it a convertible, but that's essentially my mental picture.
We're definitely using my MM as the limo (save some $$ and ride in style!). I've already talked to her about incorporating the Marauder into the wedding cake.
We can do 2 cakes really. one is the traditional "bride" cake that has all the bells and whistles that she wants. And I can have my "groom" cake and I told her exactly what I wanted : a Marauder. Trust me guys, she puts up with me and my obsession with the Marauder. She's def a keeper!

You would have a cool looking cake if you went to these guys, but after spending a couple of grand, you will have a cake that tastes like ****z. (****z is an adjective my 13 y/o son uses in place of s h ! t when I am around) Additionally, Duff Goldman is an asshat. Chris, sorry to rain on your idea, but I have had dealings with him personally and have spoken with people who were taken in by the show. Stay away!

Well, if you're having a groom's cake then you can definitely have the whole car!!! I say go with a 3-D cake of the MM with y'all in it! Maybe the 2 of you coming out of the windows, waving or maybe her tossing the bouquet out of the window and you'd be visible through the windshield...?? I got IDEAS!!! Lolol! Too bad I can't make the cake for you.
