Capitol Raceway 4/29/11 Test & Tune

A friend called out another friend on another forum I am on so they are going to squash their issue at the track and I decided to join in on the action. Going to run against a 13.2-13.3 car and another car that's about 13.5 I would guess.

Have off next week so I will be find tuning my drag radial tune. I did 13.63 @ 100 with tune that had a lot of TC and shift lag. I can only hope to be a decent amount faster than that. Hopefully one of my friends will bring a vehicle that can hold my street tires so I can run on my drag radials.

If anyone is free, come hang out. $10 to watch, $20 to race. Track opens at 5pm.

lol you don't need DR's with a 14 sec mm.
If you get the right set of rear tires and play with them you will be fine.

You wont need them until you start messing with the torque converter, launching at above 2500 rpms or going boosted. Swing on by if you want.

Only got two runs in. 14.28 on the drag radials and 14.04 on street tires after a 2 hour cool down. Best 60' ft was 2.06. If I don't launch hard I can't get a good time and by launching hard 2700-2800 Rpms I just spun off the line even with low tire pressure. Something is still wrong on my tune and I've about had it with dealing with whatever the issue is. Im not putting anymore mod money into the mm and going to focus finishing my 331 for my foxbody and make that my go fast toy.

What he said. I will never race at that track again. Always ran my best times at Cecil county. I even broke a axle there. That track is extra sticky.
