You know, I saw the first one. The previews for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th looked like possbily the gayest films ever to involve cars, but the previews for Fast Five actually raised my eyebrows. Amy said it looked interesting but she lost all respect for The Rock as an actor for being in this one. I gave her the peoples eyebrow, lol.

I'll see any car movie, I don't care if the plot is good or not.

Three movies worth missing are: Death Race 2, Redline and Death Race 2000 with ICP.

^^^ I doubt it'll be on the first night and the sound effects are much better indoor, but I'd definitely watch it a second time at the drive in. ^^^

imax would be great. Vin Diesel is my hero. must be a good movie if he came back to play in it. Tokyo drift was the worst one. First was best so far.

The Rock wants you to take those little previews you saw, take them with you to the corner of "Know Your Role" Blvd and "Shut Your Mouth" Lane. Then he wants you to shine them up really pretty, then..

Marcus theatres in Addison on lake st and 53 will have a huge car show Friday night.NOS energy drinks Models (hot chicks) Exotic coach limousine and a DJ ! !...Saw this posted on another board I'm on "CHICAGOLANDMUSTANG" Just putting out the idea.This is gonna be huge!!! might cruise up there with the Marauder and give the ricer community something to look at !!!!!!!!!

The first one was pretty bad, it was poor acting with a hilariously poor interpretation of the street-racing scene. The second one was AWFUL. It looks like it was specifically designed to be run on Saturday and Sunday afternoon movie slots over broadcast TV. NOTHING about that looked high-budget. The third one was one of the first ones, in my opinion, to try and take itself seriously. It didn't work all that great, but it was a much more polished movie. I think what set a lot of people off was the COMPLETELY different car culture it was trying to portray. The fourth one was the best on to me, it tried to be a real movie (the point was more about Dom finding who killed Letty than it was "oh shi* look at those supa-fast Hondas!"). Of course, there were some acting hiccups, but you could believe to an extent that those were real people. This 5th one, I dunno. It looks like a return to the tacky F&F ways that produced the first and second movies. I'm pretty sure they rounded up everyone that appeared in any F&F movie though, I think every cast member has some role this time around.


tl;dr: I've got mixed feelings about this one...

Someone mentioned the word "paycheck" to Vin Diesel and thats why he signed on. His lines are so cheesy even in the trailer. I shall pass on this movie and wait til its out on cable or regular TV.

I saw one of the cars at the Auto Show in NY on Sunday, that is in the movie...really nothing to boast about. A simple looking car that had everything ripped out of it, and some tubes wielded on the back side of the car, and you could see three NOS bottles :nos: in the passenger seat.
