Here is a thread for tracking problems uploading attachments.
Please keep these problems, on this thread.
I will upgrade Vbulletin this weekend to the most recent version of the 3.x series, and it may help resolve these issues.

All of a sudden when I upload pics, it says that I already up loaded the pic I want to post. Now I can't post it. OK, so what next? I've uploaded the same pic before to threads with no problems.

Are you attaching a pic to a post using "manage attachments" when you create a post? Are you inserting an image link from the gallery or external source? Copy and paste the exact error message you are receiving and detail exactly what you're doing. If you're uploading the same pic from your computer more than once, it's better to put it into the gallery once and then copy the picture via a link in the thread.

Yes. I've always done this. Was not a problem until recently.

Moving this issue to the existing "Attachment Upload Problems" thread.
Anyone else having issues? Please post here as specific as possible and I'll have Doug look into it.
Thanks!

Thats by design - We dont want 4 or 5 copies of an image on the server. If you need to post a picture in multiple threads you can upload to the gallery and use the link from there to insert the picture as many times as you like

So once a pic hits 4 or 5 times, it gets shut down?

So once a pic hits 4 or 5 times, it gets shut down?No that was an example
It appears that the system looks to see if the attachment has already been uploaded
If it does you get the message you saw

I've uploaded the same pic before many times with no issues until now.

We've done a recent upgrade of the software and it could be a new default setting. Each time a picture is uploaded, it sits on the server. Each picture does take up server space. If you need to use a picture in multiple posts/threads, then it would be much easier to upload once in your Photo Gallery and then copy a link into the post. The picture will appear in full size instead of thumbnail. Or, post a link to the post the picture already exists in. The advantage of the Photo Gallery is that the pictures can always be found in one place instead of having to search through all your posts and threads.
