Ok, this is to seperate all the hoopla for fastest Marauder in the Chi town area.
Fastest so far according to Timeslips;
Lowbuck, justbob, Motorhead350.
We also have Takedown as the newest member of forced induction, to our group.
As I have the fastest trap posted on the timeslips page, I'll throw the first stab.

2) I was complaining the whole time on this one. If you live in Chicago your DL will say Chicago, IL on it. No exceptions. Bottom line is the "Club" needs a better name in my opinion. Windy City is cool, but we have others outside of it..... Not worth it. We're all cool now. I mean seriously we just resolved this. I don't wanna argue. We are all on good terms and I wanna keep it that way.

As of now I am in the fastest in the city of Chicago. There are faster Marauders in the SUBURBS.

The final conclusion is this guys. If we have people from an hour away from Chicago saying they are in the "Windy City" then in that case Zack would be the fastest. He is an hour outside of Chicago and probably has the fastest Marauder in the Midwest... Motor City guys probably cannot beat him either, but I maybe wrong.

If you wanna say who is the fastest in "ChicagoLand" then I think we have competition. Eventhough I don't believe in Chicagoland, only Chicago. If you don't live in the city, don't affiliate yourself with it.

Man this division is growing, because one member backs out now another is following his lead. This is just like the final "Chicken Run", nobody attends that now its called a meet. When this charter was started in 03 it was "Windycity Marauders", why change the name? The whole spirit in which this started is now gone, so we change the name but the attitude is still present. It's what we bring that counts (Yes we have a member who continually use this forum to mouth off), keep the name and get back to the friendship that made us special (In a positive way). Like with our cars. It's a Marauder or it's not. A GM with Marauder parts isn't a Marauder, nor is a Marauder clone... it's not a Marauder. If you say you are from the Windy City, you must be from Chicago. Don't believe me? Go to the post office. They will gladly explain how Skokie is outside of Chicago. The only other Chicago is in Indiana, called East Chicago right by Hammond. This isn't a Marauder thing as much as it seems to be. It's a technicality that most everyone ignores.

You wanna lose the drama? Someone has to admit they are wrong. Just look at your drivers license or the last bit of mail you got. If the send address doesn't say Chicago, IL that means you do not live in The Windy City. I am tried of explaining this.

I don't have to talk like this on other sites because there isn't the issue. ChicagoSVT doesn't have that. The website is based out of Chicago, doesn't say those people are from Chicago. Same with Motor City Marauders. I am not from Detroit, my mommy is though. I don't say I am from The Motor City even if I am am member of The Motor City Marauders.

Why bother to show up? It's because I am from The Windy City, if anything else it's everyone else "Showing up" being that their from outta town. Even if all events aren't even in Chicago.

I am from the Suburbs, but would never take the type of exlcusive holier than thou attitude that you have with the city. With that I am done. as I don't want to harp on it, but when you choose to open your mind, let me know

If that was the case the history would have ended in 1959. Yet there are bands/musicians in there from a time well past Rock N' Roll and before it. Is it a cool place? Oh hell yeah it is, but it's not ALL Rock N' Roll. If you ask me they should change it to the Music Icon Hall of Fame because there are people from so many different types of music yet it all get's labeled as Rock N' Roll. SUCH A FAIL! We know Rap when we hear it, Blues, Country... but Rock N' Roll? Nope. Not even a lotta adults understand that. I had to tell someone 3 times my age a week ago that The Eagles aren't Rock N' Roll, Little Richard is.

So bear with me here as I make sense of this... I'm going to explain this in terms you can possibly understand... So say Chicago is like the Rock N' Roll hall of fame... You said yourself that the Rock N' Roll hall of fame has bands/musicians that are NOT "Rock N' Roll" Why can't The Windy City Marauders that live in the suburbs OF Chicago say they are from Chicago? If it's good enough for the Hall of fame it's good enough for me. They may not have Chicago mailing addresses but I don't know the names of the outlying cities of chicago. PLEASE BAN ME. I don't have the right to belong to such an Esteem and Noble place. I've competed all my life (until age came), but win or lose it never changed the character of who we are. No trophies or awards have ever changed the people of Substance & Pride. JB and Drew is correct this is the UGLY side of competition ( I don't make a million $$$/per yr). No it's correct. Rock N' Roll died when Buddy Holly died. After that is was Pop Music influenced from Rock N' Roll. The real deal was actually 1956 to mid 1957. After that it was rip offs until artists literally start dying, quiting no going to jail.

Yes JB that long ago. Thanks to Ray The dealer it all worked out better than I expected. It was a period of time (In Da Hood), the guy down the street had two of his tires jacked. My cousins (District Fire Chief had his garage broken into another who works Gang Crimes had his house broken into) it's all about livin' in the city. As most 11 second Marauder do not have stock engines with few exceptions and even then those are ticking time bombs or used race gas. I think a few did high 11s on stock engines and pump gas, but only about four that I know of.

Chicago on my DL and Marauder engine in a Marauder. If Chicago isn't on my DL I'm not from Chicago, if the Marauder doesn't have a Marauder engine, I don't think it's all Marauder anymore. As most 11 second Marauder do not have stock engines with few exceptions and even then those are ticking time bombs or used race gas. I think a few did high 11s on stock engines and pump gas, but only about four that I know of.

Sorry going off topic here. Some are lenient some are not, I am not on anything. Ask my girlfriend. All or nothing for me personally. That's just me. You're in or you're out. Well Dom, to be fair, whether intended or not, your Chicago on the DL or you're not from Chicago came off as an elitist attitude as if your from Chicago you are better than those in the suburbs that "say" they are from Chicago, and at least for me is the reason why I took it so personally. I was born and raised in the suburbs and have certainly played my part in growing the city of Chicago enough to say that I am proud to be from there(Even if it is the crookedist city politically that has ever been), whether my DL says so or not.

It came off as looking down from an ivory tower as if you were saying "I'm true Chicago" and the rest of you aren't *****. That may not have been your intention, but it was certainly the way I took it, as well as some other members as evident by a number of posts here and in older threads.

You are free to your beliefs, but a lot of people are proud of the area they come from whether they lie in those city limits or in the areas surrounding those city limits. The fact that this whole thing started with a race and has dredged on for nearly a year is sad. But in this current thread Dom, you had the opportunity to let it go and not take the bait, but you couldn't resist and it started all over again because once the bait was taken, the rest of us couldn't resist either.

Best advice I can give, is in the future, don't take the bait. We now know where everyone stands on it and I know I won't be taking the bait in the future either. Last I have to say on the topic.

:( Yup, 03 was certainly a magically year, but true to Lizard fashion, Baker beat up 2 quality young pitchers that year. And 84 was such a rip off having home field advantage but essentially losing it because Wrigley didn't have lights and the playoffs had to be primetime.
