air suspension compressor

Good day everyone
Today when i was back from work I fell something wrong
I get out from the car I found the car below
After five minutes the air suspension light come on just like that without any signal
I check the system for air suspension by OBD-II checker
Its say the air suspension compressor have a problem
I check the raley and I make a direct wires from the battery to the composer it not working
So i check the agency and dealer for spare part the computer say the marauder have a special compressor
And it not available on here
the big problem is I need the car and top the that its too expensive around 450 $ just for GM and CV
So what's gonna be
Any thought. ......!!!

Try this till you get a new compressor;

OK, heres what you do to get the car back up to ride height (if its the compressor that died, not the bags that blew.)

This works a little easier w/ 2 people, and an air compressor with a rubber tipped air nozzle (worked well for me, the tube type may as well if thats all you have) a small 5 gallon (@ 80ish psi) tank should have enough air in it. It doesnt take much air to get the bags back up

Pop the trunk, you will need access to the air ride switch. Remove the air box (if you have it, or other intake assembly) to reveal the suspension compressor beneath. locate the air line coming out of the small tank attatched tot he pump. remove the air line. Push the colored ring in and pull the tube out to remove it.
with the air ride switch in the on position,and the air compressor all ready to go, have a buddy hop in the car and turn the key to 'On' but dont start it. in a couple seconds you will hear the compressor kick on/grind/howl (whatever noise it makes if any) and/or you will hear the solenoids 'click' from the rear bags. once you hear either of those, start pumping air from the compressor into the air line you removed. that will start to inflate the rear bags. keep filling until the suspension pump stops, or the rear solenoids click shut, or until you get whatever rear height you want.
once you get to the desired height, go to the trunk and flip the air ride switch off so that the computer doesnt make the solenoids open again and you lose all your air. FYI having the air bag switch off will also make the 'air ride' light come on in the dash.

thats how you can manually add air to the bags and still drive around with a broken compressor. I did that for a week when mine went out..



also, my pump died because of the windshield washer reservior. You cant fill it more than 3/4 full otherwise it will slosh out of the little vent hole in the top of the cap and leak down onto the suspension pump and corrode it until it dies.

Thanks man there is two air line
one below the air intake coming or going to the bags and one coming out from comprusser to a small box already wrote marauder on it
and how I remove it cause i afried I broke it

The white box with "Marauder" on it is the vent for bleeding off air when the car is unloaded. It's not critical. The other line is the one to the air bags. Push in on the orange "ring" that the line plugs into on the dryer and the line should release.

but the hose line to the bags doesnt plig completely when the compu. Work i hear leaking when i try plug good its work

You have to put some pressure to push the lines in. also make sure you hooked then the right way. If the compressor is on and its pumping out the vent, switch them. I havent had a compressor issue yet but so I'm not 100% what the lines look like. I know on the Mark8, you have to push them in hard to prevent a leak..

Paul, you can't mix up the lines, they won't reach.

yryr999, I don't quite understand...where exactly is it leaking from? If it's the main connection, you may have to do as Paul suggested ^^^ and push down on the orange ring while inserting the hose to get it to seat all the way in.

Arnott doesn't make the compressor anymore [emoji17] anyone have a suggestion where is best to get one now?

They still make it, got one on Amazon weeks ago..I found it on Amazon, $215, but it's not on their website for some reason. However, Suncore has one for $120, any reason not to go with them instead?

I think I might need one aswell everytime I cut it on it blows a 30amp maxifuse under the hood if I leave it off everything is fine. [emoji848]
