Went to tirerack.com on my PC and odered a full set of 4 - 245-55ZR-18 BFG's. Three days later they were at my front door.
They had a sale for $83.00 each, just could not turn it down.

Now I'll be able to rotate all four tires front and rear!

BFG Stock
235 / 50 / 18
9.6" 27.2" 759

245 / 55 / 18
9.9" 28.5" 724

It raises the front by .65" and can decrease understeer. Be careful because the Reinhart Rear Sway also decreases understeer.

Thanks for the information on understeer sailsmen!

Nice pinstriping. I have been thinking about something along those same lines.

With the change in tire height, what about the traction control system? Have you had any problems with it coming on mysteriously with the change in tire diameter up front? When the time comes to replace the tires on the Marauder, I really hope there will be more options available as either the front or rear(can't remember with one it is) is only available from BFG.

junehhan my 300A does not have traction control so I can't help you on that issue but the change in height was only 0.6 inches. I like the way it equalizes the distance between the tire and fender of the front and rear.

However you are right about more tire manufacturer options, there aren't many at this time. Depending on my tire wear this set will probably be my last. At least I'll be able to rotate properly now!

Thanks!

Marty I ordered the MM badges from Logan out of the MM.NET STORE a couple months ago. I think he is going to start another run in the near future.

Thanks!

Hey Bill,

With the new tire height in the front, are they giving you any problems with the turning radius scrubbing the inner fender wells?
Thanks, :burnout:

MM_FYRE49 I have had zero nagative problems with the same size BFG's all around my MM. It only rasied the front of my car about 0.66". It seems to take corners the same or faster with a greater degree of comfort. She really sticks to the road on sharpe corners! Yes, I would highly recommend the buying the same size tires for all four on our MMs. No Problem!

I also like the look better because the distance from the top of the tire and the bottom of the front and rear fenders are very close now!

Good Job on the tires Schuvwj. Im looking to try the same but I have a 300B with T/C, but I do believe it might just work...

Interesting - I just purchased a used 2004 and didnt think twice about the fact that it had pinstriping. I'd be more than happy to post pictures of my silver MM with pinstriping, if you'd like.

Marty, you should have put your name inscribed in the badges when they were being made, now you've lost your credits (searge too I think), the badges are now just simply "from Logan" :(

I put four 255x55x18 tires on my 2003 Marauder and the traction control system started acting up.

I have Preditor Tune on my car as well as Kooks long tube headers with Bora mufflers. The Magnflows were too resonant inside the car.

The Preditor allows tire size changes but only for the rear. Is there any way to reprogram the computer so that I can use these tires.

Thanks.

Bill

Either mount the "correct" tires in the rear or remember to turn off traction control.
