I was wondering what you guys thought of the price from the dealer. To supply, paint and install the spoiler for $500...Too high, fair, or a good deal?

How much is the spoiler alone minus the paint?

Way too high! You can buy one painted for $224.00 brand new like I did then install it yourself.

Yea a little high but you got to think it a dealer.
200 for the spoiler 1hr to paint dealer rate 90.00 paint materials at 38.00 per hr plus .5 hrs to buff 45.00 haze mate 8.00 and install 1.5 to install 135.00 plus tax puts you at 500.00 ish retail dealer price. yea it could be done cheaper

Actually the price of a painted and dealer installed spoiler sounds within range. Yeah, its cheaper to do it yourself but I will assume he already knew that.

Just went to gnarlycarparts.com and found an OEM replica (abs plastic) painted and shipped for 215.00. Cannot find any bad reviews online for them, so I went for it and ordered it. Less then half the price!

I got a primer one from Sparta. Local Ford dealer wants $200 to paint and install it. I may just have a friend paint it and install it for me.

Once again Leo, where did you get it? Is it OEM?

I got mine from wooddash experts

Just like factory it is heavy and solid in design. You just need to provide your paint code for it. It was painted and clear coated when it came to my door.

I got mines installed and painted for $400 by the dealer. I wanted it done by a professional and have a warranty from the dealer if anything goes wrong i.e. rust, etc... It's worth it to me.

After I drilled the holes for the spoiler bolts I left the masking tape on the outside of the trunk and sprayed the holes on the inside of the trunk with rubberized under coating.

I also used clear silicone sealer on all of the bolts and the holes they go into on the spoiler so it will be totally sealed and will not rot or rust.

I needed a long 1/4" drive extension and a swivel on it to put the bolts in.

The spoiler came with drill guides to attach to the car and a good set of instructions.

Got the spoiler in and installed it thursday night...Here are some pics. I was very impressed with the packing and the paint job. Pics aren't the best, will have to take some better ones in the sunlight after I wax it.

These cars look so much better with a spoiler ,makes the rear view of the car differant from other panther cars.
