Mine are painted black to match the car and fade into the background. Most people paint them red but I'm not really a fan of that look. I've seen Ford blue calipers, I did like those.
Didn't somebody have purple calipers on here too???

+2 on the red.
It all depends if you want them to stand out or not.

Red seems to be the popular choice and I like the look... I'm looking into black to match body or perhaps something chromish or silver to match wheels & trim. Not sure how it would look... maybe someone can photoshop some photos to pink and other colors?

Red on a black. Red or silver on sb. Dtr match. Blue match. Make sure and use caliper paint

I think it doesn't matter what color you paint them, but any other areas painted should match the caliper color, IE COPs covers, Etc.

I like the blue...red is cool too. (but those Wilwoods are awesome!)
Should I hit the lottery, after the S/C, I'd redo my black paint and add blue ghost flames with blue calipers and blue Ford Racing cam covers.

Agreed. If I were to color the inset of the back bumper or anything under the hood it would have to match.

I am matching the colors I did for the engine work!
Black with the rotors / Silver for the caliper brackets and Gold for the calipers so when the hood is open your seeing the same behind the rims you will see under the hood.
The original Engine color for the Marauder in 1964 1/2 and up for a while was gold air cleaner and valve covers unless you went with the high performance engine then there was a lot of chrome. So I decided to stick with those colors seeing this was an anniversary car.

I'd either go red as well or maybe just silver for a clean look. I've got red bumper inserts so that's the color I've been trying to stick with and of course Travis just had to offer a RED catch can AFTER I bought my silver one. lol

Check these guys out if you want Wilwood they are a suporting vender and great to deal with. Braided lines to replace your hoses is a good idea as well they sell them.

If you have the coin, Wilwoods are the way to go. The Marauder stops like it should have from the factory. When you hit the brakes in a panic stop any loose fillings will fall out of your teeth!
Stops on a dime and gives you nine cents change.
At the very least get TCE's stainless steel braided brake lines for the stock calipers.

LOL...coin nothing!!! If I have the BANK. I see they are a little pricy. I think I'll stick to my factory ones. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/images/icons/icon11.gif

My car went from the worst brakes I've ever had in a car to the best I've ever had in a car with only the addition of R1 Concepts slotted / drilled rotors and ceramic pads. And I've owned many, many cars over the years.
I'm sure Wilwoods are great, but OMG are they expensive!
