Well i was driving back from the store and everything seemed fine. Went in the house and changed so i could head to the gym. When i started the car it didnt rev up as high as it usually does, it just revved at little and went straight to idle, i thought nothing of it so i put it in drive and pulled to the left so i could turn around. Put it in reverse and the car started creeping forward. So i tryed reseating the shifter back into reverse and still same thing so i had to put it back in drive and go through some trees and bushes to turn back around. Next i tried it again and it goes forward in all gears including neutral. while in drive will not shift out of first. Transmission fluid was checked and was fine. The only recent mod was pulstar pulseplugs. A local transmission place said 12-1400 to take it out and "fix" it. I wanted to buy the stage 2 transmission kit from rinehart and just rebuild it. I dont wanna open it up and have something cracked or something HELP!??!?!?!

There is a guy on here with a Transmission shop that has rebuilt a lot of them.
I will try to find his name so you can send him a PM.
Darrin is his name http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/member.php?u=3235

Check the linkage plate on the side of the transmission. My bolts backed out of mine and the shifter wouldn't go into gear. I had to put it in 1st to engage drive. Also check to make sure the linkage cable didn't move out of adjustment.

You have to get under the car to check it.
