Ran into an escape coming out of the carwash... 100% my fault, didn't see them at all, even though I was looking in that direction waiting for the car in front of them to pass... Basically peeled my front bumper clean off. The escape had some suspension damage it looked like.
I should have gotten a crown vic like I originally wanted... Could have thrown it in the gutter now. Least nobody got hurt. Didn't even click 3k miles on the damn thing.

Yup. Bought in october with 1335 miles. It started snowing 2 weeks later, so I parked it. Been snowing until last month, finally took it out and put ~1500 miles on it... it clicked 2900 this morning...

Hea dont feel bad **** happens as long as evryone is alright. I know it sucks espcially with that miles. But if youre luck is like mine things always happen to the things I dont want anything to happen to. I personally wouldnt do anything but oe bmpr. I installed a aftermarket once for a cust I was never happy with little fit issues. If you got a good Ins co. they may figure oem due to no miles on the car. But most will go with the cheap stuff

If you can, I would try and do this one out of pocket.
If you ever want to sell it and it still has low miles the accident report is going to be a issue.

Yep. That's one reason I did that to the wife's car, the other was the high deductible.

Easy-E - throw it in the gutter and go buy another.
No matter how much money I make, I think I feel better in throw away beaters, the MM is waay too nice for me.

Yeah, thought about that, but not gonna happen... I'm trying to save money for moving back to AZ. This turned out to be ~7500 bucks with the ins covering all of it; that would have been a decent chunk to take out of the house downpayment funds. Plus, this way it will be done much faster; should have it back within a week or so max. only get 3-4 more months of driving it out here in MN...
They are using all OEM parts, I insisted on that, nothing repaired; so hood and passenger fender, even though they could be fixed are getting replaced.

http://www.fordparts.com allows you to enter your VIN # and search for parts Ktorres1, I hope this helps :)
Edit: Here's the info I found:
Part Number: 17D957
Part Description: Marauder; Paint to match
Price: $1,523.43
Since F/P's website states: "ATTENTION: THIS PART IS NOT SHIPPABLE," I'm assuming that when you call them up, they will direct you to the closest local dealership that can receive shipment from their network, but I'm not certain.

I just got the call that I was kind of dreading. The front bumper cover is indeed discontinued and apparently they can't find one in stock anywhere, so that will have to be aftermarket. On the bright side, it should be done before the end of next week.
I bought it with low miles, and was (and still am) planning on driving the daylights out of it. It's crazy that the motor isn't even broken in fully yet, on an 8 year old car. The mpg's have been getting better and better as I drove it; it started at about 15mpg and it's currently at roughly 21 (double my current daily driver v10 4x4 excursion!). I can't wait to have my eco-friendly vehicle back, and hopefully put lots of incident free miles on it before winter comes again...
