HID fog lights what bulb or kit do you use, Hacki sent me a pair but I see no way of holding the bulbs in place I called Ford and asked about the bulb holder for the OEM bulb thinking I could modify that but it's sold with the Fog light so I was thinking of having my CNC guy make one for us.

You have to modify the bulb holder so that you have the ring with the tabs by itself. The holder cannot be bought separately from the whole light housing. The process is rather easy....its just super permanent unles you buy new lights. Heres the threads that i followed...piece of cake.

you can use whatever you want as a holding solvent. Some use silicon, but i used a hot glue gun and everythings perfect. Good luck and if you can get someone to replicate the ring with the tabs on it, people will probably buy them so they dont have to ruine theirs.

^Yep what he said.
Dennis, you'll also have to cut the factory fog light wiring harness to attached the new HID kit for power. I highly recommend soldering the connection instead of using crimps.

What I am going to do is have my CC guy make a adapter just like the OEM bulb holder so you can slide the wires through and hold the HID in place and seal it with RTV I will post a picture next week this should help all of us and thanks every one for your help.

The only problem with that could be is that the bulb has to sit a certain way inside the housing for it to reflect properly. The same of the bulb base is going to be different than your standard H1 bulb so part of the trim ring may have to be ground down for the bulb to sit correctly in the trim ring / adapter.
I know it's hard to see it here but the wire to the right is dead center of the trim ring.

Here is a good picture of the H1 HID bulb as you can see under the bulb lip where the wires connects is thin but wide so part of the trim ring has to be be modify more for the bulb to sit correctly on the trim ring and the flat edge to the left in the pic lines up with the one on the trim ring.

I just sent this to the CNC shop with a bulb so will see what he comes up with.

The only annoying thing I see after having done this, is that the bulbs are sold with the hot/cold wire attached to it, so if a bulb burns out you have to reattach the plastic ring to the new bulb assembly. Just making it quite tedious.
