You show up to a national Marauder meet in one of those, I don't see many people saying It's ugly.

I hope this Marauder goes to someone who will display it at car shows and not keep it stored away for eternity.

Why is it listed as a 1999 CV LX ???? :dunno:

Had they actually offered the Marauder convertible, there would be 2 MMs in my driveway.

If this is the original MM convertible concept car, I don't think that it had an operational convertible top. Seems to me that it just had a convertible boot over the chopped top. Also recall that it was carrying an experimental/concept VIN that means it can't be registered for street use. Unless the extra reinforcing has been done, this one probably has alot of body flex without the help of the roof.

I saw this car in Florida last year at the Mecum auto auction. Bluerauder is correct on the top. When I looked in the trunk below the boot there was no evidence of the hardware for a top.

If you read the statement in the photos it says it Cannot be certified or registered for use on public roads.
It's cool but 75K for a non drive-able concept car. Not for me.
I wonder if it could be modified to be titled and registered?
I could see it if it it could be driven on the road.

That dealership has no idea how to post a car for sale. CV 4dr convertable
Is this a dealership you can trust.
Right, I'll take my car right over to them.............

Too bad it wasn't more reasonably priced. We could all chip in as a collective and own this piece of Marauder history. We could display it at national meets or have it dedicated to a museum in our name.

4dr convertible? Are they counting the hood and trunk as doors?

I saw this car at the NY Autoshow. It was on a turntable, and drew a lot of attention when I was there.

Unfortumately, the 4 dr version parked on the floor didn't draw the same crowd of lookers.

Had they built this car for sale, I would not have bought my TBird.

Then, at another NY Autoshow show (can't remember which one came first), they showed an MM with different shades of black paint (?), and kept the doors locked to keep potential buyers outside, I guess.

Meanwhile, Mercedes and Lexus had their doors unlocked.

Good work, Ford.

Anybody have a big monitor that can read what the switch above the headlights on/off knob is for? It might be for the top. Also like the boost/fuel pressure gauges in the shifter pod.

Looks like the "Up/Down" button for the convertible top. Must be for show purposes only. ;)

IIRC this car has a two valve motor but is supercharged with a roots type blower.
It's been around for a while, last I heard it was in Florida, how this dealership came to posses it would be interesting to find out.

Maybe a member who lives nearby can check it out.

Looks like a basic 2V Saleen motor. I'm much happier with our 4v's

For 75k? screw that. Last I heard it sold for 25k

It's picture was taken in front of a Sears Auto Service Center. I wonder if Sears charged them for lubing the top assembly?

And there should be no body or other way for this car to go. Maybe we should all protest With everyones mm doing burn outs all over the parking lot

Being as that engine combo was never offered in a panther chassis, it'd probably have to have a emissions certification as well... Wonder if they do that before or after the crash testing????

+ I believe the origtianl concept car DID NOT COME WITH AN ENGINE---WHOOPS!- Any one installed afterwards is trully that--an after market install--

-Doesn't say much about the engine --unless I missed that part--

Just thorw a tag off one our Marauders on it and drive it on the street. What's the big deal? I know it only goes 20mph, but that can be fixed.
