What's the stagger ratio between front and rear diameters?
Rears will need to be between 3% and 6% larger diameter for the TC to work properly.

Drop the sidewall height on the fronts to a 45 and you should be fine

Do I have to? A 265 tire will automatically be taller then the 235....I dont how to calculate the 3% thing....

Or just go with 255-55-18 rear and be good to go......

1. Click on the above link.
2. Enter desired tire sizes in the input fields indicated.
3. Divide the diameter of the smaller size tire into the diameter of the larger size tire.
4. If the answer to the calculation is larger than 1.03 and smaller than 1.06, you won't have any issues with the TC.
5. Try entering different tire combinations and repeat steps 2-4 above until you get a combination that will put you in the 1.03 to 1.06 range.

So stock is 1.0499 and the 235/50/18, 265/50/18 combo is 1.0433...I should be good to go. I don't think ill get much closer to stock specs with same brand tires....

the 555s are extreme performance z rated tires designed primarily for summer use, the 420 are all season radials not sure on the rating, but they are not as aggressive as the 555s

Wow, our cars are a real pain in the ass to shop for. Not only is getting MATCHING tires that won't screw up the TC hard enough but tire websites won't ship NITTOs to Canada because apparently some company has exclusives rights on NITTOs in Canada or something like that. Good thing I live fairly close to the border, now I have to get the tires ship to a store in the US and pick them up. Not too pleased about that...
Those NITTOS better be some good tires LOL

That's true. USA is definitively the place to be for any car guy.
And now the tires are on back order....what else is next?

Got the tires put on today and I must say that I am very satisfied with them so far. I like the look of them and the ride. Took some pics but I'm not the best photograph... I strongly recommend this combo to anyone who wants to keep same brand of tire up front and out back...

Is this a question or a statement? :dunno:
235/50/18
265/50/18
Those are the tires and the sizes I am running. Very pleased. The 265/50 are only 0.2 inches shorter than 245/55. Tire wear is a much larger variable.

Would the rear 265/50 size have any difference on the speedo.
I am shopping for tires & still deciding on tires 235/50/18 & 265/50/18 from
10 10 tires.com

Not Much... Going 65 mph (104.6 kilometers per hour) on 245/55/18 is the same as going 64.6 mph (103.96 kilometers per hour) on 265/50/18

Hey!
I don't know how close you are from the US border but I have found discount tires.com to be the cheapest option (for me) for the NITTOS. I had them shipped to the border and went and picked them up.
