:confused: Hi again Marauderers tech experts, as part of "Aggressive mods" am making to my new Panther BP74i I want to upgrade the alternator so i visit the land of shadow and dead Panthers ( The junkyard ) and I see this recent died Panther P71.

What i'm marking here is the alternator it looks in good state except for some aluminum rust.

This is a closer pic of the alt, my question is which amperage have this police alternator vs the grand marquis alternator that has my CVLX I have tomention that the alternator that came with my panther is not original that was from a Grand marquis donor but due that I will put some heavy electrical equipment i want an alt which has big amperage.


ADVICES AND SUGGESTIONS PLEASE and thank you a lot for the time to read. :D

Unless you plan on running a lot of lighting equipment or stuff that draws a light of amps, your factory one will work just fine.

You can't use a 2003 up alternator unless you swap out the voltage regulator, those models use the PCM to control the alternator. Here is a totally insane workthrough to use a 200 amp alternator in a older car

If you use a 6G alternator from a P-71 you need the bracket, the harness plug and the larger wire which goes to the power distribution box.

Unless you plan on running a lot of lighting equipment or stuff that draws a light of amps, your factory one will work just fine.Well CTRLRAVEN in fact after I complete the phase 1 & 2 of Aggressive mods i have pland to install some strobes in headlights,reverse lights,sidemarkers and a dashmiser,sirens.
