any comments appreciated.
car has begun stalling intermittently (1-2 times a day) under the following conditions: as coming to a stop, slowing down and turning sharp (to park) and/or after idling for a couple minutes, i.e., at a long traffic signal.
car starts back up immediately after stalling.
car has 121K, had full tune up at 105K and no other issues that i am aware of.
thanks.

when you say "full tune up" what exactly was done? this could be a number of things bad iac, bad fuel filter, leaking vacuum lines, ect

Run it to a local parts store that will do a PCM check for codes and see if the car says there is a problem being registered for a start.

what i would call the std. 100K tune up.. plugs, fluids, fuel filter, etc.,

i would pull the idle air control valve and give it a good cleaning, then see if your problem is still there
also as mentioned if your check engine light is on, or was on head to auto zone and get it scanned.

thanks for the suggestions. i am making a list that includes:
IAC- clean/replace
MAF- clean/check harness
clean the throttle body
i have since checked other threads & someone mentioned a TC or TCC issue. what does this refer to?
one other thing i did not mention is that i put a tune (diablo) on the car, about 2 years ago. don't know if that makes a diff. in trying to diagnose the issue or not??
You could try bumping up your idle, what it is at?

Clean the throttle body.
Make sure you use "throttle body and air intake cleaner" and not "carb cleaner".

i have since checked other threads & someone mentioned a TC or TCC issue. what does this refer to?TC is most likely Torque Converter and TCC would be Torque Converter Clutch, as in the lock-up clutch shudder issue. I have no idea why those would be mentioned in a thread about stalling...

I see a lot of cam position sensors cause the above symptoms.

+3 on the IAC (Idle Air control). Had the same issue on my '96 T-Bird. (Stop lights; parking; traffic; etc.). Gets FULL of carbon/black stuff!

Just a guess, but if the torque converter is locked up while driving, and does not unlock when coming to a stop, that would probably cause the engine to stall. What would cause the torque converter to stay locked is for someone else to guess ;)

With what (and how) should the Idle Air Control Valve be cleaned? I am having similar issues.

Use throttle body cleaner to clean the IAC.
This guy recommends you use electrical cleaner. Good pics tho....

Check the gasket. Any air leaks will cause a problem. Might be wise to get a gasket just in case.
