So I posted not too long ago about getting into a pretty minor wreck with my MM. I have all the body panels on the way and was actually driving it yesterday and it started snowing. I turn my windshield wipers on...nothing... my headlights actually turned on when I turned my wipers on. I have no idea where to even begin diagnosing this. I guess sending my LCM out for repair, and the wacky wiper fix. Any other things I should look into doing? Anyways it was 88 the day before and yesterday we got 6 inches of snow. Gotta love May in CO!

N.Y. law headlights are suppose to turn on when the wipers are on and any Marauder ordered and shipped to NY to be sold @ a dealership had to have this option installed.

My Marauder does the same thing headlights come on when the wipers are on. It was originally suppose to go to NY.

Six inches in May? Wth... how do you guys put up with that? Is it the free healthcare or something? Canada right?

Might be the LCM, but I'd check the fuses first.

I bought it in NY. My LCM has been being difficult lately. Thats pretty cool, I didn't know that. I just moved to Colorado last month

Fuses are fine. I'm more worried about not having wipers than anything right now. Snow builds up fast

If the fuses are fine, wiper motor may be shot.

Have you had issues with the wipers before?

Never any issues with the wipers prior to hitting the elk

The wipers don't work at all.....

According to the shop manual it could be any of these :

Multifunction switch
Circuitry
Ignition switch
Wiper motor

Check these fuses:

CJB (Central Junction Box) fuse #17 (7.5A)
BJB(Battery Junction Box) fuses # 112 (40A) & #116 (30A)

So now you ask "Where is the CJB and BJB?"

The BJB is located behind the battery.

The CJB is located inside the car, to the left of the steering column.

Every time that I have had wiper/light problems it has been traced to ^^^^ the wiper motor or fuze #17. And when the wipers won't shut off, I pull fuse #17.

Thanks for the info fastblackmerc. When it stops snowing I'll go check those fuses. Hopefully it's just a fuse, since the wipers nor will the sprayers work

so, you are back in business?

I'll find out when I stop by the shop and grab a replacement. It's one of the bigger fuses so I don't have any layin around.
