I have had my marauder now for almost a year and I am dying for more power, however I do not want to void my warranty. It seems like alot of the mods that I see on this site would do just that. My question is what mods void the factory 3 year/ 30,000 mile warranty? Right now I am still bone stock.

Hello Tower and welcome to the boards. It is going to matter where you have your vehicle serviced. Some dealers are more mod friendly than others. Best thing to do is ask around and find out where the others are getting theirs serviced. What part of Chicago are you in?

I was afraid of voiding my warranty with a chip too,.. So I got a Superchips Microtuner. I am very happy with the results!
Maybe someday I'll get a Reinhart chip, after my warranty is over. But, for now I'm content with the Microtuner.

tower - Welcome to the MM site. Most dealers say the MODS will void the warranty. You have to find a MOD friendly dealer.:D

tower, according to the service manager at Ron Rush L/M during our mini-roundup in Sept. things like exhaust mods only void the exhaust warranty, a reflashed chip is virtually undetectable. S/C will void the engine warranty, 4:10s will void the rear end warranty. Just because you add a mod DOES NOT void the entire warranty on the whole car. IE: A S/C install would not void the power seats or window motors etc.
Hope this helps!!

^^^I agree^^^
At best, get your EEC reflashed. Difficult to detect, and you will definately enjoy the new power. Plus...you'll sleep at night

Call Dennis, you don't know what you're missing.

To sort of summarise what everyone above said:
The Theory: EVERY mod WILL void some part of your warranty....
The Practise: ...IF the dealer feels like pushing the issue that way.
Some dealers will overlook the more common mods, like headers, underdrive pulleys, 4.10 gears, etc...DEPENDING on what your issue is and on whether the part in question was the ACTUAL cause of your issue.
Find the local Mustang crowd and see who they recommend...
