As you probably know Astro Shield closed after 40 years of production. I have used this product since the early 70's. I have found a source of the same formula from:

Although he says, "This unique and exclusive product can be used in direct sunlight on a hot surface and will not leave a white waxy buildup. I NEVER used it in direct sunlight or on a hot surface". I used a Porter Cable to apply, and wipe off with microfiber towel.
I have used this product, and must say it's the real (Astro Shield) deal. The guy that sells this product says he sells at NASCAR races throughout the the U.S. (He said that, I don't know). He is a little aggressive on trying to sell other products in his line. I told him I'll try this and maybe buy some other products later. I got my shipment right away, (about 10 days), I think it shipped from the northwest. I told a friend who used to used Astro Shield about it, he ordered and said it took 6 weeks.
A little hassle but good to get the product.
