Out of curiosity, how hard is it to out a 4r75w in an 03? What is involved?
I ask because I understand that the 75 is a better transmission, though I don't know why.

Will a 4r70w from a 3.8 mustang fit into my 2003 marauder???? Most of the trannys I come across are from 3.8 l mustangs is that ok
Does the 4r70w have to be from an 2003 I found a couple but they were from a 3.8 litre .. Can I use that also

No.
4R70W from 3.8 or 4.2 V6 will not fit the 4.6L V8. The bellhousing bolt pattern is different. Make sure the starter mounting has 3 bolts and not 2.
Also, you can only use 4R70W from Crown Vic, Grand Marquis or Town Car as they have a longer tail housing and output shaft than Mustang and other applications.

Agreed!. The 3.8L is a derivative of the Windsor motors, actually it's a 351w with 2 cylinders lopped off. The old Windsor motors and modualrs have different bellhousing bolt pattern.
