The paint on that particular piece is fading. At first I thought it was greasy finger prints. It doesn't even wax clean. You can't see it unless your close up, but it'll be flat black soon.
Anyone have that issue?:(

It's called the front panel. It's plastic. Many issues with black paint.

If your talking about the piece I think your talking about, it is part of the grill. Ford may still have some Black ones left. They come prepainted so the swap is pretty easy.

In my parts manual it's called a front panel. I don't think it's true fiberglass or plastic. More of some hybrid material?

You're right. It's neither plastic nor is it 100% fiberglass. It's a composite of the two. They come white, you must prime and paint. I have one sitting in my garage prepped for primer

Anywho.. It's thermoplastic and fiberglass and I've never heard of it fading like the op said
