Lately my wife has been driving my Marauder while I drive her Explorer for work. I love to hear her drive away and enjoy the exhaust note for a few moments. Today, I was saying goodbye to my son in the street when I caught a car in the corner of my eye coming around the corner. At first I did not recognize it, but instantly I was thinking, "Nice Car", just before I realized it was MY CAR! The Marauders have a presence that really is unique and awe inspiring. We truly are a lucky group of people to be able to enjoy this car before they are mandated out of existence.

Good for you. I would be happy if my wife NEVER drove my car. But at least she's a school teacher. 16 miles per day.

I always stare at my fiance when she drives away either on the mustang or the MM.
She loved the s/c on the MM.

I'm gonna have to let my brother drive it when we make our trek up to Wisconsin/Upper Michigan next month. I've been wanting to see and hear my MM and he's the only one I trust to drive it the proper way...20 years of being on the police force should have him trained correctly!

I won't even let my (soon to be) ex RIDE in it....her loss is my gain!

Beeyatch! (oops, was that out loud?)

My wife drove my MM when our first daughter was born because our other car was tiny. When I found a Land Rover she liked, I got the MM back and the little car got sold to friends.

Within the first week, she asked me "Can you get a supercharger for a Land Rover?"

Thinks the whole car thing is dumb, no worries about the wife taking it for a ride anywhere:cool:

My 2 youngest daughters have asked who gets the Marauder when I die. Oldest daughter could care less about driving any of the 3 vehicles. Amy is neither here nor there on driving the Marauder, but will jump in the 'vette and take off in a heartbeat.

Good for you. I would be happy if my spouse NEVER drove my car. Exactly! That's why I encouraged mine to get one of his own.....:coolman:

Too much power or the whine? You can NEVER have too much power!....the whine/whistle is another issue and Yup I'd call that annoying....but worth it!

My girlfriend is scared of mine... and it's mostly stock! But then again, if your car was a Corolla even a slightly modified Marauder would probably be quite a switch if for no other reason, size.

When I first saw the MM and showed my wife pics of it she was like so what. My truck got totaled and looking for another vehicle she says why not try out the MM and so we did. She was so so about it but over the years I honestly believe she likes it more than me. I drive it very little but if we are going out to eat or something she always request taking the MM. I would have probably sold it but she will not even let me talk about it. I love the car but really need another truck.

When I first got my exhaust done, I had my girlfriend drive it in a huge parking lot, while I watched; so I could hear what it sounded like.
I stood there as she drove around thinking, "man, that is one cool looking / sounding car! And it's mine!!!"

My wife does not drive it.

Correct. Same here and nor does she ever want to drive it. In fact since I've had my MM, only 4 people have driven it (including me and excluding mechanics and service folks who drive it into the bay for a Safety Inspection.

4 people in close to 5 yrs. That's it.

It sure doesn't!!! When I drive ours, I step on it coming around the corner to the house, so Mr. Fordfrk can hear it; then he says "is there any gas is left in the car?":D

Well technically it is her Marauder since her name is on the paper work. Not sure how it happened since i did the financing and all the other stuff through the bank but whatever.

She drives it once in great while but she is scared of it. She's only 5'3" and says it's to big and violent for her to drive but she loves to ride along.

Her idea of a full size car was her G35 Sedan.

The last time Ms. M drove the Red Line Beauty---it was in circles in our
Cul de sak (sp) where I could hear the roar in circles--it was and still is fabulous!!!!!!!!

Before that she had it at 100 and the light was turning red--!!!!!!

Land Rover?

Yup. Found an LR3 (19k miles) with the very rare factory Hvy Duty package. Thing might as well be a M1 Abrams in ability.

Seats seven real sized people and can take them absolutely anywhere in complete safety. Reliability issues are brand-wide, but also easily cleared up with a few minor mods (just like us drilling the MM compressor floorplate to let water drain out etc)

6800 lbs curb weight lets you tow alot of trailer for it's actual size with zero sway.

Downside is that a whole new mod-world awaits that is much much more expensive than MM mods. Brush bar/winch/aux lighting/sliders/underbody pans/tires/snorkel kit/recovery equip etc etc.

Already put it through it's paces once. My wife was going to a girls night out, but we had a rare snow day here in Vancouver. Nobody could get around any the streets and hills, so my wife drove to everyone's house and picked them all up. Domestic 4x4s spinning everywhere, most AWDs doing a bit better. The shortest girl is 5'9'', and the tallest is 6'1"...and eveyone was raving about the comfort and headroom. Try that in a Jeep/Hummer/Tahoe/Escalade et all.

Fuel economy is horrible, but that's to be expected.

I researched and drove every 4x4 imaginable and did tons of web research over almost 18 months, and the LR3 modded properly was by far the winner. Stock, not that great, but a great platform to build on. (EXACTLY the same with the Marauder!)

I put my wife's truck in the shop for some suspension work I didn't have time to deal with.
She needed to go out and I had to remind her the Marauder was right next to where her truck lives "under the cover"
I love the fact she forgets she can drive it!!

Wifey drove my car to work today. So I drove there at lunch and took it back. (Swapped cars) She called me shortly thereafter and briefly thought it was stolen. I parked right next to where she was! Ha!
