These pictures are from our New Hampshire 2011 Meet. Some of us checked in to our hotel on Thurs. night and after Happy Hour in the lobby we headed out to dinner at Ella Coya Grill. On Friday morning we went to explore America's Stonehenge in Salem, NH.

24682 Marianne, Vt.Woodsman, Bunny, RF Overlord and Mr. Man get set to explore the mystery of the stones.

24683 Marianne & John select their hard hats for the expedition.

24684 Bob stakes a claim on a cozy cave.

24685 John Marianne on the trail.

24686 Bunny emerges from one of the many man made stone structures.

On Friday afternoon, after lunch at The Lobster Boat in Merrimack, we toured the Anheuser Busch Brewery. The grounds, visitors center and stables were beautiful! We especially enjoyed seeing the magnificent Clydesdale horses!

24687 The Visitor's Center

24688 Bunny and Bud!

24689 The stables which house 8 of the more than 200 Clydesdales owned by the company.

24690 Tim, one of 6 horses we were able to see on our tour. He was just gorgeous!

The New Hampshire Motor Speedway held it's Car Show (with professional judging) on Saturday. MM.net was represented by 6 Marauders from both model years and in 3 colors! We got A LOT of attention from the public and were kept busy answering lots of questions. Many had heard of the cars but few had seen even one in person! We were all extremely thrilled and proud during the awards presentation, when it was announced that our very own Billboard (Bill) took 2nd place in his class (American Cars '70 and above) with his Black Marauder, newly purchased in January!!! Way to go Bill!!

24697 Ms. D's Silver Birch.

24698 Larry Durham's immaculate Garage Queen.

24699 John & Marianne putting on the finishing touches.

This is our 2nd year for the New Hampshire Meet. We had 4 cars and 9 people last year and 6 cars and 12 people this year. If we can register 15 Marauders next year, we will have our own class! So it would be great to have you there!! I will start posting up for next years meet about 3-4 months before. It's held about the same time every May.

Besides the thrill of seeing Bill get his trophy, we all enjoyed the thrill of taking several laps on the Miracle Mile at New Hampshire Motor Speedway!

24702 Billboard (Bill)accepts his trophy from Susan Colby, Vice President of Guest Services, and her young assistant.

Great pics, Paula. :2thumbs: Thanks for representing !! ..... and congrats again to Billboard on his trophy. :trophy:

Billboard registered the day of the show and unbeknownst to him he registered in the 1970 and later American car group and he took home a trophy. The rest of us took the forums advice:tongue:;) and registered as Muscle cars and we were thoroughly trounced by the Chevelle guys. All 3 trophies in Muscle class went to Chevelle's as did the Best in Show. I must admit the BIS Chevelle was beautiful and I'm not a real fan of the breed. Mustangs had their own class but were not required to register in it. Not sure about the Camaro guys but I did notice that all the Chevy's were SS's no matter the make :shake:

The weather kept a lot of people away(including Herr Doomie;))... hoping next year the weather is more cooperative and we can grow our MM representation in what ever class we pick. This years overall turn out was about half of last years but the weather was a complete 180 from 2010.

All in all we all had a great time and Paula and I hope that some of you who didn't or couldn't make it this year will consider coming out next year. And to those of you who have come out every year we thank you for your continued support.:)

Did anyone get their hand slapped going through the tunnel? And what was the max speed you guys were able to get on the track this year, were the rules the same as last year?

Since the total turnout this year was small the parade laps turned into 4 front straight hot laps. I think the 5 N/A cars were in the low 80 mph range and MMOK1492Scallap managed low 90mph in her S/C car sans the weight of Herr Overlord who was watching from the grand stands going like this :banana::banana: whenever the MM's drove past.

We missed a good time again---Dang!!!!!!!!!! New job for Jack in 2010, so lost all vacation time we had--same for 2011--not enough time.
We hope to work it out for 2012 and be part of the 15 cars "in our own class" !!!!

MMOK1492Scallap managed low 90mph in her S/C car sans the weight of Herr Overlord who was watching from the grand stands Ahem...you obviously were asleep in physics class in high school. More weight = more inertia, so she would have gone FASTER if I were in the car...I just didn't want her to TOTALLY trash all youse guys.

I guess you live in opposite world. With more weight in the car (ie. you) and her speed I think we would have seen how well a tyre barrier holds up against an MM at speed.:D:P;)

Great pics and thanks for sharing all the info on the get together!

Sounds like you all have an awesome time each year you go that is for sure!

I wish it was not so close to Carlisle in time frame but I hope I can get a chance to go to it next year.

Chad and the mod's this year kinda drained the money for us both so was not able to attend again. :alone:

But our new son and companion was worth having to wait another year for trying this again.

Way to represent and a big :congrats: on the trophy Bill!

Bern and I would love to make it up to New Hampshire. Just need to get a little more separation between Louisville, NH, and Carlisle. Can't do 'em all ... so I got pick and choose where to use my vacation time. They do expect me to show up at work ...... occasionally !! :D

But you are right about several of the meets being bunched together. The NHMS seems dead set on having this event towards the end of May every year. We know people can't come to everything. Best run we had was on the fourth lap coming out of turn 4. We managed a better rolling start and clocked 87-88 at the finish line. Unfortunately two cars ahead of us was a 1940's Ford sedan....so we had to hold waaaaaaay back to get any kind of run. Felt awsome tachin' out the Merc.. !!!
