Today could be June 2nd and I still wouldn't trust the forcast. I think its time they hear from people to move the weekend. It just ALWAYS seems to rain during this event.

Wasn't that the year it was 90 billion degrees? I felt sorry for the clubs who didn't have a tent to huddle under. I remember no one was walking around.

Hopefully the forecast will improve by next weekend. I don't like the severe weather we have been getting. Maugansville, just north of Hagerstown and about an hour SW of Carlisle, had a tornado last week.

Yes and real foggy that morning...

From all the rain the night before. The early morning sun and heat was evaporating what was in the ground. 101*F in the shade and about 95% humidity. Miserable.

I ended up washing the car the night before in the lot behind the Carlisle Hotel about 11:00 PM after the rain stopped. Seem you and Barry were out there doing the midnight wash too. :D

I can't believe the coincidence in the timing of my posting above ^^^^^ and Carlisle's weather yesterday at 6:30 PM. :o We got hit with some high winds last year on Friday ... but nothing like what I am seeing in those pics. Looks like they be able to have everything back in good shape by next week. Lotsa tent damage though.

We'll be there rain or shine. Paid for our room in advance. This time of year there is no way to predict the weather more than 24-48 hrs out. We had the torential downpours last night, but the bad stuff stayed south of us.

This ^^^^^ is not true. They have weather models that are able to accurately predict the weather to near 100% accuracy for the 5 day forecast. Unfortunately, the model takes 3 weeks to run. ;)

I remember Saturdays storm last year and the traffic was ludicrious. I HAD to make a "pit stop", switched drivers, I take off for a KFC down the street, when I get back she had only gone half a block. If it happens again we now know how to avoid it.

For me Friday was the worst last year.

I am glad I did not turn around though and just leave and went to where we should be.

There was a black Marauder there with it's windows down and the key in the ignition I closed all the windows on it for the owner who was no where in sight.

So I guess being late was a blessing in it's own right.

Bought sun screen last night after my daughter played with the school marching band at a parade. Waiting to hear if they won, by far the best, especially for one of the smallest schools in the parade with a large band. Their drum line kicks a$$! The DTR needs a bath this morning. Torrential rains & thunderstorms here last night while we were shopping and on the 18 mile ride home. Better now than next weekend. :D

At Carlisle this year, FreddieH gave me a stack of about 10 microfiber towels. They use them at his work to wipe down everything and then dispose of them. Instead of seeing them go to the "trash", he collects them and washes them for reuse. Sure hope that he doesn't work for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission or the Center for Infectious Disease Research. ;)

Friday - Sunny and nice, slightly breezy on the hill - high of 77. Those without sunscreen WILL get burnt on their neck and arms.

Saturday - Sunny early. Increasing clouds throughout the day. 100% chance of rain beginning at about 2:30 PM. Rain steady with threatening clouds until 5:00 PM. - high of 78

Sunday -Big azz thunder and lightening before daybreak. Mostly cloudy and overcast in the morning giving way to more sun in the afternoon - high 83

I guess I owe you half a trophy Freddie. :D
