Is there a way to reset the Traction Control to run the same size tires, all around?
I have owned my Marauder for over 5 years.
Now I have the 245/55ZR18 all around and I keep forgetting to turn off the TC. It works fine in town until I accelerate onto the freeway when the TC applies the brakes.
I need to make a permanet change before my Marauder gets in an accident.

NO. I believe you can get a "tune" that shuts off the T/C.

IIRC, the only option is to manually shut off the TC whenever you start the car.

NBD, I've been doing it for the better part of 5 years; gets to be habit after a while.

Is there an individual fuse just for the TC you can remove?

Would there be any other consequence to tuning out T/C and running same size tires all around. Would my speedo be off for example or would I get some type of CEL, any other issue? Anybody actually doing this?

Nope. (you can "turn off" but not "tune out" the T/C).

Nope. (T/C has nothing to do with the speedo, nor would a "check engine" light activate due to turning off the T/C).

Yup. (Did it for several years without any issues. After a while, it becomes habit to hit the T/C off button every time you fire up the engine).

Plain and simple, a lot of knowledgeable folks have tried to tune out and or turn off the TC and it CAN NOT be done. You either run the correct tires or turn the TC off everytime you start the car. Do a SEARCH....

great, thanks for the info. Just to clarify, I hadn't meant to ask if turning off TC would throw a CEL but rather, would running same size tires all the way around affect something (like speedo) or throw a code. But it sounds like you've answered that too by saying you've been running same size all around and had no issues. As long as TC is turned off. Thanks again.

Hey, no problem, glad we were able to get your questions answered.

Just out of curiousity, what tires are you considering running?

I bet there is a way to do it. I believe all you would have to do is jump a 12v source to one of the wires on the switch in the dash so everytime you turn the key on it dissables it. I have done that to my drag car t bird.
