I just made a quick trip up to see my uncle Danny at his restaurant in Eldersburg, MD yesterday. Just wanted to get his blessing and see if he would be ok with a bunch of us meeting up and he said he would be delighted. So I've decided to pick Saturday, July 9 at 2:00 PM. This gives people some time to plan because I know Carlisle is coming up, as well as Fathers' Day and Independence Day.

Once I figure out how to post a poll, I'll create one so I'd like to get an accurate headcount at least a week or a couple days prior.

I am really gonna try to make this one. Haven't been in Eldersburg for awhile. I'll plan on getting there early and visiting Lake View Memorial Park just down the road about a mile ... I've got some people to visit.

I know that they are supposed to be plentiful, less expensive and really good this year....:drool:

Thing is, I'm wondering if we can just all chip in and get like a 1/2 bushel or full bushel and share... I don't know. I'll have to ask my uncle and see what kind of deal I can get!

Oh yeah she'll be coming with! We got a little tour of the backroom and saw the crabs in the pots, but even with the great old bay smell she still resorted to chicken fingers.

Also, if it's a nice day (not too too humid or hot) my uncle said we can set up tables outside!

I can't remember their schedule, its a big crew of muscle cars. They alternate Saturdays between the parking lot of Jimmy Cone in Mt. Airy and Home Depot parking lot in Eldersburg.

Yeah don't worry, I'm going to go back through this thread and get a headcount. Plus I'll do a roll call about a week before so I can give my Uncle a heads up. I'm pretty sure we have enough people that we can pretty much take over the entire restaurant! And parking lot too!

With Greg it's always a good idea to use a # 2 Ticonderoga pencil with a sufficient eraser tip. :D

Plus, depending on how many people are legitimately interested in eating crabs and nothing but, I can get an idea from my uncle and see if maybe we can just get a bushel and split the cost between everyone. Shouldn't be more than 10 or 15 bucks per person..

Or else we can order 'em by the dozen, but that can get expensive. I'm not sure what people want to do just yet, but I'm just thinking aloud and ahead right now.

Sure that's fine. I was in Eldersburg yesterday and stopped by my uncle's restaurant. He's quite excited about us coming down next weekend!

I told him I would give him updates throughout the week and let him know. Like I said, I'm going to go back through the thread and get some numbers. If you change your mind or something comes up just let me know or post in here. This is going to be a good turnout!

I can only commit to 2 adults right now.

My son and grandson may choose to ride along .... but that decision probably won't happen until we are walking out the door on Saturday.
