Larry sent the car here last month his old motor passed away at 135 thousand miles, so it will get a new breath of life with a Vortech YSI and he is getting a Cobra Crate motor, we are going through the fuel system adding 60 lb injectors a B3000 Maf, we will inspect the transmission as well as the whole car, his paint scheme will be silver vain I think this will look good with silver. All the pipes VC and Intake will be powder coated, I left my camera at home but will be posting pictures.

Mike I speak to Larry once a week, the week he brought the car here which was 30 days ago I had five other Marauders ahead of him, the car had a busted RF tire and we have dismantled the car in between the jobs we have here. His old engine is on a stand. Larry told me to take my time and thats what I like to do, to insure he gets a quality job and its built to his satisfaction. His pipes are here powder coated I am waiting on the intake valve covers and timing cover, I have decided to go a dash eigh fuel line with Aeromotive rails so we have a plan and it is in the works, this should be a very fast car when done.

The YSi does similar boost to the JT-trim I have but comes on full boost much quicker but also start to develop boost @ a higher RPM than the JT-trim. A very suggested blower for racing use...

When the car suffers a good hit, it disables the fuel pump. All MM's have it. If you give your car a good smack with a closed fist in that general area, you will pop it. I do it to my car when parked in unsecure lots, its a free fuel cut off.

I couldn't help but notice you are using a stock single bolt tensioner timing cover. Curious as to why the better mark 8 cover wasn't used?
Is it getting a thump tensioner at least? 8 rib kit?

Since he did a good job the first time and I was pleased with the short turn-around why not send it back for a complete make-over. It was around Thanksgiving so I wasnt going to need the car in the winter, which seemed like the best time to have everything done; besides it freed up a parking space for me. I talked to Dennis today about the beast everything is in place. He was putting the digital gauges in when I called. He told me she should go on the dyno sometime tomorrow. Mr. Reinhart wanted to drive it around a couple of days to make sure all the bugs are out before he goes to seymour. So i should have her back by Wed or Thursday. Mr Reinhart put alot of time and effort into this build I just want to say thanks for everything.

Not for nuthin DR but you had how many months to get the car to where it is today? The fact that the car has the miles it has is not due to anything but time usage/mgmt..... Sorry to be blunt, but it is what it is.........:o

Dennis........ I was hoping we would not be having this conversation when the car came back to you..... But here we are. Why is the car there? Seems to me a blown motor....Do we really need to go there?

Counciling from me? Look Dennis, you have your ways of running your business, and those ways invite a certain scrutiny. Don't want the scrutiny? Run your business differently........ Personally given the reason why the car came back to you, I would have thought you would have made this vehicle priority A-1 and clear your decks of the bad memory... Its what most tuners would have done.

If Larry is being a gentlemen about the length of time it has taken you to get his car to this point, could it be that you "have" his car????(up till today that is).

I will freely admit, that Chris Wrights car (your build) is one of the nicest driving Marauders I have driven, that said, I am sure Larry's vehicle could have been completed in half the time it has taken. Sorry if it stings Dennis but again it is what it is...... I just hope that this build is "right as rain".

I'm not being snarky Dennis. Just straight up. Larry is a friend as is Chris. I like to see my friends get taken care of properly. I'm no worldbeater, but have run multimillion dollar business operations and sold high ticket products/solutions, so I understand a wee bit about customer service, business process and setting expectations as a component of a project. (I think we had some conversations about this some time back). I am not trying to steam roll ya, so please resist the temptation where I am concerned.

If you wanted to reply to my original post, you should have just said, "True Mike...... I have had this car longer than I expected" and left it at that.....

The car will get a smaller pulley its making about 14 PSI, and 539 RWHP on a very consevative tune till the motor is broke in. And you open your own shop and kick them out in 3 weeks, no more comments like this are needed here, and will not be condoned.

I generally don't comment but roam quite often; this type of statement leaves me speechless and very glad that Dennis can ignore this sort of thing; perhaps this author would like to drop 15-20K in a build and immediately do a BTTW dyno?

I'll stick with the DR recommendations; suggest you ease-up on these types of statements and I'm done interacting with you too.
