Although Discount tire argued when I inquired some time ago that since our KDW's can not be rotated the 40k mileage warranty BFG offers on these tires is invalid, they adjusted both rears today for 75% credit.
The sales slip clearly states the mileage warranty conditions and rotation is not listed. So, smoke em if you bought em (from Discount tire) and replace them as needed.

So what are you saying? That the warranty is invalid, or that you managed to snooker Discount Tire into honoring the 40K warranty on them?

As far as "replace them as needed," I did, with aftermarket tires that are way better than the OEM crap...

You can cross rotate from one side to the other by dismounting and remounting.

When I purchased 2 rears from Discount 2 years ago, there was no mileage warranty, just road hazzard warranty.

Tires are meant to last one season.

No need to remount them if they are the KDWS as they aren't directional.

" KDW's" are directional.

" KDW's" are directional.

I challenge this. They do have an symmetrical tread design where one side has to be on the outside , but there is no indication they are directional - I just examined my own - No arrows or "Direction" - I also looked on the BFG web site. They can be moved right to left and left to right. It's the size difference front to rear that makes normal rotation impossible.

Link to a pic showing an arrow on the outer sidewall indicating directional.
I have not owned a KDW in a while but when I did they were directional, perhpaps they came out with a different version.

Are you talking about KDWS with an asymmetrical tread design?

I am not familiar with the tread design in the first pic. My cars tires had the tread in the 2nd pic. And they were replacements from the dealer so I always thought these were the ones everyone had. Maybe we're both right!

KDWS were the OEM. The S being for snow. Many, particularly those in the South, went to KDW. The first post said KDW's so I assumed the KDW, who knows?

For my use the best tires I have had are the KDW, some said they were noisy:confused:

Yes I made a mistake, I saw the KDW's in the first post and read it as KDWS. The KDW is made in 2 different tread patterns and both are directional.

Didn't buy from Discount tire, bought from local tire shop, no mileage, just road hazard warranty only.
