I got in right at 2:00 PM. Had a clean run all the way until I got to the I-495 Capital Beltway near Tyson's Corner. Traffic was backed up for about 2 miles and I got through it with only a minor delay.
jabird56 ran with me all the way from Carlisle to the I-270/I-495 split (about 80 or 90 miles).
Was nice to meet you Baconbit/Russ and your Dad. Hope you had a good time.

Home @ 8:30P ...w/ a stop in Stroudsburg for a bite...then washed the mass carnage off the front clip and put the ride away (had no idea one could slaughter so many insects in a trip that was mostly daylight driving)...
Best,
Jonathan

Thought I got them all the evening before. Went to a lame cruise night tonite in Warren NJ and on the way home I hit a bug so big I thought it cracked my windshield. Might have been a Junebug. Whatever it was it was a 4 paper towel clean up.:puke:
Glad everyone had a good time and got home safe:up:

A bit of trivia--bugs bounce off the windshield if you're going 35 MPH or less. Over 35 MPH--SPLAT. So we all will have to keep a stockpile of paper towels and windshield cleaner.:D

You'd be amazed at the boat load of "fun facts" he knows. It's like he's a walking Snapple cap! Lol

Ha, Ha ..... bugs don't know how fast you are going. ;)
I suspect that the actual "speed of SPLAT" depends on the slope of the windshield (or surface) and the type of bug itself. My E-150 Van used to collect alot more bugs than the Marauder because the van's windshield was nearly vertical (70 degree) vs about 45 degrees on the Marauder.
