Lately when I come to a stop, my engine would either idle smooth as glass or it will idle a bit rough. It changes back and forth everytime I come to a stop. I notice that in the cooler temps it idles smoother and then when it warms up it idles rougher.
I also can't confirm if it was the road surface or a shudder, but in Carlisle I was in 4th with the convertor locked and I felt a slight shudder at part throttle. I also noticed a very slight shudder when I give it partial throttle coming off a stop.
I have less the 3K miles on my plugs, COPS, and the recent trans service. Im ruling out transmission due to the idle changes, and Im ruling out the coils and plugs. The only part thats all original is the EGR/DPFE and it has almost 71K miles. I hear these things stick open and will effect idle and cause a shudder if they are starting to fail.
Does this sound accurate?
