Wanting to get some aftermarket Magnaflow tips and I can't figure out if I want Rolled Tip or Single Wall? Any suggestions? Pics? Advantages-disadvantages? I also want to get some mufflers and I have it narrowed down to Magnaflows or AT2525's? Anyone have input?:burn:

As far as mufflers do you want mild or LOUD?

Just something with a nice grumble louder than stock but not quite DOOM loud lol:lol:

Pick up a set of the Megs rolled res-delete tips. They make the exhaust a bit more aggressive. I personally think the rolled tips look best on these cars. The boloney cut straight tips just don't look right.

Yea that's what I was thinking. I like the rolled look better.

You can really wake up the neighbors by deleting the second set of "resonators" ;)

What he said!
But I don't think MEGS still makes our FACTORY STYLE deleted tips.

I have MEGS 4 in. deleted tips on my car and I know for sure they don't make those anymore! Not sure about the stock size in a deleted tip though. And yes like Paul also said deleting the 2nd set of cats will get you more of an aggressive sound/rumble.

^^^^^ What he said ^^^^^

Res-delete tips will give you more tone without alot of increase in volume. Also, you may want to consider deleting the rear cats; that'll give you slightly more volume, especially when combined with the delete tips.

Well deleted 2nd set and rolled tip deleted tips it is, but what kinda mufflers? I was thinking just stickin with the magnaflows just in case its a lil bit louder than I want.

I stayed with the OEM mufflers on my car and like the sound level right where it's at, but that's my personal preference. A little louder than stock, with a deeper tone, but no cabin noise.

Remove the 2nd set of cats and do the tips. See how you like that sound before doing anything else. You might enjoy it for a little bit then decide it's not loud enough anymore and can add in some mufflers. I would go with Magnaflow even though I have AT2525 mufflers on my car, they flow a whole lot more than Magnaflow so they will make a whole bunch more noise when you get on the gas but under cruising/light throttle they are pretty mellow.

Do a Youtube search on MM exhaust. There are quite a few.

Ok so I wanna delete the 2nd cats and do rolled res-delete tips and then magnaflow mufflers but is there any power difference with this setup with stock piping and manifolds? or is it all just sound?

You'll prolly pick up a little additional power deleting the rear cats, but you'll want to look at headers and a larger mid-pipe set up to pick up any significant HP.

Shorty headers, Magnaflow hi flow cats, rear cat delete and a Mac Pro Chamber mid-pipe flowing into stock exhaust got me 27 more HP and another 38 ft lbs or TRQ to the rear wheels.

You are also supercharged, power gains on NA doing the same setup are a lot less.

True, that.

Although I think fastblackmerc picked up some decent HP gains with a similar installation in his NA car (shortys, high flow cats, 2 1/2" mid-pipe, ec).

Car A and Car B even with the same mods won't have the same results. Every little bit helps just depends on the price point of the mod.

True, that.

Price point is important, too; how much bang for the buck should be taken into consideration. That's why I usually recommend 4.10 gears and tune for stock MMs, IMO, will get the biggest improvement gain for th money spent.

That said, after going the SC route, I'd encourage folks looking for improvement gains to start saving their pennies.

As frdwrnch told me a while back, "there are no performance issues with a Marauder that can't be fixed with application of a little positive manifold pressure..." ;)
