Up for sale is a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.
I am the second owner, first private owner of this vehicle. This car originally came from Kansas Highway Patrol Turnpike Authority, so it was not curb jumping etc. These cars are very highly sought after because of how well they are taken care of, and can be hard to find. Unlike most police interceptors these cars have cloth rear seats, power drivers seat, carpet, no exterior roof, trunk, etc holes. These cars come with AM/FM/Tape, HID spotlight (kinda rare, much brighter than most) and cruise.
* This car has a 3.27 Locking Rear Differential, and less than 5K miles ago had both rear axle seals replaced, at which time the rear end was in great shape according to Brad's Auto.
* The transmission shifts excellent, no slipping and the fluid and filter was replaced with Mobil 1 less than 5K miles ago. The transmission has the J-Mod done to the valve body which slightly enlarges fluid holes to help with transmission wear.
* The interior has a Mercury Marauder instrument cluster, that has been converted correctly for the crown vic. The instrument cluster has LED SMD strip lighting in it to allow a nice flow of light, and never needing bulb replacement.
* The car has a Code Alarm Alarm/Remote Start system installed with Siren speaker, and battery backup in speaker.
* All 4 rotors on the car are drilled and slotted quality rotors with Hawk HPS High performance ceramic on rear, and HPS Semi-Metallic on front.
* The grille on the car was replaced with a new from Ford 06+ Honeycomb Textured Grille.
* A upgraded headlight wiring kit was installed to make the light output much brighter than without.
* The marker lights have been wired to alternate with the front turn signals as it should have been from factory.
* A Superchips Performance Tune is on the car to help with performance.
* When the car was purchased a new steering wheel from Ford was purchased and installed as well.
* The drivers side converters were replaced with a dual magnaflow direct fit high flow converter unit (passenger did not need to be replaced).
* A newer (less than 3 years old) Autocraft Titanium battery with 850CCA was installed in the car
* A Goodyear Gatorback serpantine belt was installed on the car last year, and is still in excellent shape.
* A set of full Ford wheelcovers in good shape are included on the car
* 3 out of 4 wheels have been replaced with Ford steel wheels from Ford (only 1 really needed to be replaced, the others I replaced just to make sure they were 100%)
* Replaced transmission cooler line and seperator plate, transmission was dropped by Certified Transmission for this and at that time (15K miles ago aprox.) they stated the transmission was in excellent shape.
* Dynamat Extreme installed in both front doors
* V-Rated Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grid Tires installed, aprox 40-50% tread left?
* Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Tran Fluid & Filter all replaced less than 5K miles ago. All Mobil 1 fluids in vehicle
* Car has 147K miles on it, mostly highway.
Car is not hotrodded, despite performance additions, has never drag raced, etc. No holes in seats, etc. I have looked at many many many crown vics over the years and have always been hard pressed to find nice ones. This is one of the nice ones. The only problems with the vehicle are A. There is a patched exhaust leak in the passenger side exhaust manifold, to be 100% this would need a full repair or replace, but would cause no problems otherwise. B. AC is a little low on refrigerant, AC blows hard and cold, but compressor cycles more than it should which I was informed was due to needing a fill. I will attempt to fill before pickup.
The ONLY reason I am selling this car is I recently purchased a marauder, so this has to go. This car is reliable and will treat you very well. You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner vic....I tried for years with no luck. I have compared prices and this is a very reasonable price for this car, local dealers are asking more for cars in worse shape. Contact me for more pictures if seriously interested. These pictures were taken yesterday, not 5 years ago so this is the current condition of the vehicle. Also for the asking price I will throw in the huge locking center console (one of the best out there, much better than a walmart clutter catcher), Uniden CB radio w/Weatherbands & CB antenna (trunk lip antenna so no holes) (hooked up even!), GoRhino Pushbumper (installed), and Pioneer 3-Way Door Speakers (installed)!
