View Full Version : Loud clicking noise

Got in the Marauder at lunch today, turned on the air conditioning and I heard a loud clicking noise. I first thought it was coming from the indash
CD player. I disconnected it and still herd the clicking. I turned off the air,
and the clicking continued. Will the blend door actuator click when it
is trying to change? Will it continue to click even if the air conditioning is working ( blend door in propper place) properly? or if the EATC is turned off?

Were you getting cold air? If so the blend door is OK.

Was the air coming out the right places? If so the EATC -o-rings are OK.

You might have heard the condensate from the A/C dripping on the exhaust.

Might be low on freon and you're hearing the compressor clutch click on and off.

EDIT, it continued after you turned it off. Try taking a video of the sound.

It is not the clutch. I replaced my EATC 2 years ago. The air conditioning is working properly. The loud click sounds as it is coming from the blend door actuator. Has anyone had this happen before?

What's the clicking noise when you hit brakes coming to a stop. It's somewhere in the tire area .

Then the noise stopped. I'm sure it was the blend door actuator being stuck.

When I brake I here a clicking noise can't tell if its the front or back but it sounds like its coming from outside the car what could it be?

My marauder doing the same thing right now. Its the algulator it opens the and closes the heat door for the ac to come out if its clicking its about to got out
