Key Question

The dealership I purchased my 04 MM from only had one key and one fob thing, can I make a copy of this key at a hardware store or does it have one of those chips in it that's going to cost $100 to duplicate? Thank you.

The Dealership should cover making a second one. It cost me $115 at the Dealer or somewhere around there. But since they took in a car with only one key set, they should absorb the cost of making you another one in my opinion. How long since your purchase?
