What company, if any, make shorty headers that fit the '03 crown vics? (clearing everything...direct bolt-in)

Try over at this site

http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php

They're a lot more familiar with 2V stuff than most of us.

Yes, the crown vic site is not anywhere near as organized as this site. It seems that the people here really do care... correction, not seems actually do. The headers from any two valve mustang will work on the engine, but I don't know about any h pipe or corresponding exhaust to make the headers a simple bolt on deal. I will be watching this thread as well. I am curious about this as well.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too.

Although, with that said, you could prolly modify a 2V Mustang performance H or X pipe to work on a Panther, would have to lengthen it, no doubt, but that would be just cut and weld; pretty straightforward.

I know you said shorties, but... I put a set of the OBX long tubes on my 05 GM. They bolted right on. They included the headers, flow tubes with cats, x-pipe and mufflers. $600 plus shipping.

The price looks like a real good deal but are you satisfied? How is the sound?

Same thing happened to me, I emailed the administrator and got my account setup.

The sound is good. I didn't like the tone, too muffled for me, so I put Flowmasters on it and love it. I am very satisfied. I had the whole system welded, after the collectors. I don't trust clamps. I had to lift the engine though and remove the starter and the driver side engine mount, to get to the bottom header bolts to tighten.

There isn't any.

The FRPP Mustang shorties would need to be modified .... RH flange changed from flat to ball.
relocation of EGR.
fitment / routing adjustment. That and little gain for the expense.

Long-tube options: Kooks
Stainless Works
OBX
