....because I am an idiot who doesn't deserve to be anywhere near a car. Is there anyway to fix this without taking the car to anyone? Flame suit off.

How'd you get air in the ABS module?

I thought it was the air compresser so I took it off. I put it back on, now I have no brakes. I am a frickin idiot. The only thing I did right was not drive it!

Have it towed to a shop and power bleed the system. The mechanic will need to open the solenoid in the module with a special scan tool.

Air brakes, WIN!!

What Cougar said.

Special equipment is required to bleed the ABS module.

Did you try and bleed the brakes?

Try Windex!

LOL PAPPA. Bleeding these might solve the problem or will it solve the problem?

The problem is no fluid going past the ABS module to get to the calipers. Thats why you have to hook it up to the computer to cycle the ABS.
When I had it done, the laptop selected a wheel then you would hear the ABS buzzing and for 30 seconds, I had to pump the brakes with steady pressure to push it through. After the complete sequence, we did a manual bleed and the brakes were good to go.

Oh ok I completely understand now. Thanks Paul!

Will a "classic" brake bleed never work on these cars then (like a caliper bleed)?
Are there only certain circumstances that the brakes have to be done through the computer?

To get the air out between the master cylinder and the ABS module, You'll need the scan tool, otherwise the old fashioned methed will work.

Will work?

I read somewhere about the "poor man's" method to bleed the air bubbles out of the ABS module.....

Top off the master cylinder.
Drive down a long, flat unoccupied road and mash the brakes HARD!
The ABS module will cycle and push the bubbles through towards the brakes.
Do this several times, while making sure that the master cylinder's fluid level does not go too low.
Then bleed each wheel's brake cylinder in the normal fashion.

Not in your situation!!!

I read that somewhere too! With the exception that it must be a dead end street that goes to a lake. :D

If not a lot of air got in you might be able to bleed it out, just keep an eye on the fluid level in the master.

Took it to the dealer and got it done. Picking it up in an hour. Found a compresser in a junkyard today. I will install that later. Its been a good day people.

Heres the problem with that Joe. Dom had no brakes at all!! If you had some air, that method would probably work, but his pedal hit the floor so it would have been him pumping the brakes 100 times before smashing into a wall.

Joe you can just say it man: "Dom, please kill yourself."

I wish I had seen this earlier.

Yep, I got here late, too. I thought for that particular situation, you first had to flush out the ABS module - WITH KEROSENE!!!
