As of now I do not like it. I still wanna put the new 5.0 in a S197. That's the Mustang I want.

+1, it also looks very similar to the original concept version of the 2011 Mustang. I'll stick with my 5.0, but if it comes with turbo????? hmmm might have to upgrade then

I'm not sure where you got those pictures from but they were originally part of an article from some U.K. auto rag and those are artist renderings of the authors idea of what it should look like.

I could easily be wrong,
but I don't see a turbo going in a Mustang.
I don't see the GT EVER getting turbo'd
and i don't think they'd let a V6 out-do the GT.
SVT stuff or after-market? Maybe. But not from Ford direct...

I read they are making the Mustang smaller so they can build/sell it internationally. The Mustang is already getting whomped by the Camaro in sales so Ford has to make a change. I still think these are the end of the new glory years for high powered v8 pony cars, if you want one you had better get one.

Rumor has it an "SVO" type specialty model with the 4cyl turbo Ecoboost

Mustangs have had turbos in the past

True, but I don't think they really expected it to have the outcome it did (SVO>GT of the same year).
If nothing else, I don't think they'll make that mistake again, and if for no other reason than $$$-making ability.

A 3.5 Egoboost Mustang with a 6 speed manual would be a HOOT
Even more so if they reworked the turbos for more HP vs the big fat torque curve it has now.

I read somewhere that part of the problem is a shortage of the new v6's, since they are being used in everything and account for half of the Mustang sales.

How old is that article? The N/A V6s already make 300HP, why would the ecoboost make only that? Also, I think there have been more Cobra's than just the 99 that had IRS....
It almost sounds like a wishlist that someone came up with while drunk one night about what a Mustang could be rather than any solid plans.
"Oh yeh, it'll have the turbos, and all the engines, and RHD, and IRS....500hp, manu-automatic transmission, flux capacitor, etc...."
