Gents...

Step one in restoring the Marauder was to rebuild the carburetor, which I finished last night after waiting a week while it sat in a solvent tank to loosen up stuck secondary's... Still needed a torch to get them free...

Anyway, to complete the job, I need a choke assembly (missing part of the plastic cam for one of the push rods) and the connector thingy that connects another rod to the choke valve/plate, see pictures below...

Anyone have these somewhere and are willing to give them to a good home?

I bet I know where a couple Motorcraft 4200's are sitting. Those are just too cool for school.

Little known fact: you can remove the top plate of that carb and tune it while watching the fuel in the bowls. That is as long as the motor is running fairly smooth anyway.

I will see if I can score one if I can't find mine.

This Carb is actually a Autolite 4100... Very similar... You can still take the top off though...

Thanks for you help...

It should still run the engine as is... I hope to turn it over this weekend. I saw it run very briefly on starting fluid befor I bought it because the carb leaked so bad...

As I got her...

You are correct, sir! I knew it was a 4100 but typed too fast.

LOL!

I did not find the box I store the used carbs in last night. That's what happens after two moves and not labeling the boxes...

Waiting for my friend to call me back.

The choke assembly/parts are same for the 2100 2bbl carbs... Earlier versions use a all metal linkage to connect to the choke plate arm, can't remember if the parts are interchangeable, thinking not... I believe those had a round hole in the arm to connect the linkage, probably the complete assembly and top plate could swap...

I think I have a 4100 carb. Will take pics of it if you want.

Gents...

Thanks for all the replies... I found the 2 parts on eBay shipped to my house for less than $20! I'm not the only one with these problems!
